Game 78 - Woodmen fear dragons

Come on now guys, that’s 5 dragons in the last 2 battles I’ve fought.

And my agents suck. Stupid non-existant stealth bonuses… <mutter mutter>

That’s really all I have to say.

Paul
Woodmen 78

Agreed, your agents seem to be wearing bells or something…I’m truly suprised, if not unhappy that your agents seem to be bouncing off my commanders lately.

And while you were quite right about the pavement on the road at 3010, it seems that FALIN the Fallen has also made a personal contribution.

WOU WOU WOU

What has happened to all those Arhtedain troops direction to 2006 ?? I’m so full of Palantirs that I have decided not to create agents but Mages to use them jajaja.

Smile! smile! smiiiiiiile!

Thanks to Northern Gondor, we appreciate the contribution of letting us get Pelargir without oppositin.

I think it’s fair to say I have the least dangerous agents in the world. Well, at least since Ricard had those 2 ineffective turns a little while ago.

I am now going to instruct my agents to stop wearing bells, stop carrying signs saying “Beware: I am an agent” and stop making kidapping attempts by tapping the victim on the shoulder and saying, “Urgubal, do you mind coming over here for a moment?”

Falin may have fallen, but there’s a few more short folk there to thwart the Easterling advances. Well, while Mirkwood remains FP I’ll feel like I’m doing something useful. Not much I can do about Gondor and Arnor… Although you guys are opening up some new fronts on Mirkwood I see.

Nightsbane, you must be disappointed you didn’t manage the hat-trick at Cerin Amroth. Our Sinda player dropped, so it now my privilege to run a nation overflowing with possibilities. (Of how it might get knocked out the game.)

Just as well the Red Sox made the playoffs or I’d be depressed today.

Ill take 2 out of 3 on the Sinda, besides shouldnt you be following the example made by your previous Sinda player and simply drop?

Besides its someone else’s turn now to feel the fun

Paul I hade 2 turns completelly ineffecticve turns, cause I had to give you some advantage to equilibrate the game. Indeed our Rhudaur player told me he wanted me not to kill your characters because with Cardolan Arthedain Noldo Northern Gondor (jajaja) Dwarves and Dunledings was gettin bored.

So you know, I just fullfilled his desires for two turns … later on he was shouting like a mad CLOUD LORRRRRRD HEEEEEEEEEELP they are harming meee jajajaja :stuck_out_tongue:

Haven’t seen the Cloud Lord’s turn yet but the one’s I have seen all point to a major rout. NG dead and his pop centres being shared out mainly between dark servants. Perfidous Dunlendings picking up one or two scraps, yes we know where you are. Northmen lose yet another capital and surely must be floating down the Anduin belly up. Noldo army commander’s luck cannot continue, just as the assassin thought he was going to duck he swayed and the knife missed by inches. Question is do we let him continue to pay for the troops or take him down? Only time will tell.
Rhudaur’s capital will probably fall next turn but with the Noldo, Arthedain, Cardolan, Dunlendings, Dwarves and Northern Gondor all fighting him and with no Witch-king to aid him he feels he has given more than his worth. Backup major towns being offered from all across the map to ensure we keep his vital map of this portion of the North West means that the Rhudaur may slow their recruitment as they regather their forces, but don’t bank on it. They also pass their thanks to the Arthedain, so kind of them to leave the timber at Carn Dum, he assures you that the 11 warmachines will be put to fine use.

Hi!!

Rhudaur does not need any Witch King having me as an ally. fine turn last one, and this one seems to be even more funny.

Paul how is all going? I have to explain so many thing when game is over…

Ricard, from a Woodmen perspective pretty good asides from my hapless agents plumbing new depths of incompetence. One turn I’ll get a successful agent order in - then you’ll all be in trouble.

From an FP perspective not so good, but you still have work to do to beat us.

I look forward to hearing your insights at game end.

Woodmen/Sinda Game 78

What is about the Sinda. In another game I’m playing in the Sinda dropped and got picked up by the Dwarves and now I see the Sinda in 78 got picked up by the Woodmen. Some people absolutley love this nation, so how come I keep finding Sinda drop?

p.s. Hubert is toast, or rather will be toasted

I’m a big fan of playing the Sinda. (Though not specifically under current circumstances.) They have strong characters and can be an extremely potent military nation. Who else can churn out 1500hi a turn in Mirkwood? (more once Dol Guldur and Goblin Gate inevitably fall.)

However they strength is precarious - reveal a couple of pop centres and they are in big trouble in military terms. And the hidden pop centres are a pain for hiding enemy charaters later in the game. And they are in easy reach of a number of DS nations.

The Gondors, Cardolan, Arthedain, and the Eothraim never expect to have an easy ride. The Woodmen and Northmen usually expect to get hammered. So players would be willing to take some punishment before they drop. Not so for the Noldo, Sinda (and maybe Dwarves). I suspect a number of players find that their expectations of running an all powerful Sinda nation are blown by a couple of reveals and losing a couple of bigger characters. Especially if they have played the Noldo before. Sinda characers just aren’t as good and they are much more in the firing line.

That’s my tuppence worth.

Did one of the bad guys blow a reveal pop centre at 2514 by any chance?

Paul

Seems that the dwarves are having a rough time hanging on in the northeast.

And what’s that? Huz of Amov, bandaged, bloody and swinging his crutch still managed to injure a northmen agent?!

I swear these guys aren’t doubled by me! Maybe you’d have more luck retiring them and hiring some mages?

The Ever Victorious (more or less) Easterling

I think the NM have more to worry about than an injured agent…lets see isnt this another capital he is about to lose?

Matt, Huz is leading a charmed life - but he’ll get his just deserts eventually. Or whenever our agents learn that the pointy end goes towards the victim…

Nightsbane, the Northmen have relocated far less often than you seem to think.

Exciting turns ahead in Mirkwood. Ricard, are you coming to play any time soon? Despite Nightsbane’s promises his agents haven’t made an appearance in Woodmen country yet, and the Dragon Lord’s characters just aren’t as exciting.

Well,

I’, judt having so much fun in Cardolan, that haven’t considered to visit you soon, but if you are willing to invite me to a beer in Maethelburg … just let me know.

By the way it seems your initial intentions of travel agency did not fulfilled properly, was something wrong? I mean mine as you know works perfectly well.

Once we take you, you will not want to come back …

By the Way, Rhudaur is getting bored!

Ricard, you’re always welcome for a beer in Maethelburg.

My intentions of travel agancy went wrong by having incompetent agents. They have been appropriately disciplined and it won’t happen again.

I’d like to make Rhudaur’s game more interesting, but I fear I shall be rather occupied in Mirkwood for a little while…

Paul
Woodmen 78

Hi Paul!!

Only beers?? I preffer one Mixed Pampero Rum or J&B (Ji Indur & Beoraborn (kidnapped of course))
Well I see your travel agency could not face against my Ji Travel’s Inc. low rates strategy Even you had advantage at first (ROW ROI ROC)

If you want I have some agents close enought to offer special classes for your undisciplined travel agents, but don’t know if they will be occupied wit other things :)) Mirkwood is ecoming Dark Wood.

Rhudaur is askig for you to pay a visit he even has begun to re conquer it’s lost positions!!

How nice to disband 3500 Arthedain Army because they had no back up commander, anyway I have so many agents in the area that I could even disband 5 back up comander’s. you know so I have to protper xDD (610) order to do something useful.

Cheers

Sorry Ricard, Woodmen only drink beer. If you want mixed drinks go see the elves.

I thought beer was only for woodwomen … dies that menas no more men are under the flag of Woodmen or you are trying to confuse my agents?? mmm that is unfair gamr!! but I guess my agents will be happy … take care MAethelbourg is converted into Fav CL Agents Bourdel

About Elves … do they exist??
