A "clave" is an American Hispanic word and it is a hardwood stick used to beat something with. I believe the Rhudaur player comes from the American South-West and is saying he is the hardest stick in the pile. But, I may be wrong.

Also sticks beaten together as percussion instruments. From Latin "clava" a club. Also, apparently "a club shaped organ in biology". But I can only think of one club shaped organ. Perhaps it's just mine

But Rhudaur, the hardest stick in the pile? I've always found it burns very easily...
