At least Cardie is confident:D Guess i need to call up my snow angels to come and deal with you!!! Beware the SA’s:hug::stab::eek:
Thanks to Everyone who have already contacted me.
I haven’t had a chance to reply individually to any of the aligned nations as yet, but as you’d expect, I have joined the game with no pre conceived ideas of which side to join.
I hope to spend a good few turns happily playing my position and chatting to all of you, trying to build up a good idea of which side I should join to have the most fun.
All the best to all of you in your early actions - unless you target me… then, boo hiss to you.
Regards
Michael

Just beware the yellow snow.
I know I said it was coming in the mail but I couldn’t wait…
“…and so it shall be.” Enion sat once more upon his throne, convinced that he had done what was best for his finally united peoples.
“Our nation will proclaim the following to all who will hear our emissaries…”
The scribes took the recorded missives to their riders presumably for immediate dispatch.
Just minutes before he had sat musing to himself about those around him. Some clamored for immediate action with their armies or with their specialists. Others called for calm and diplomacy while this still uncertain path was being discerned. And yet, all the while, Enion pondered whether if any of this talk really mattered. Would actions would be taken by others that would force their hand no matter their intentions, he thought? His mages had revealed much to him about the brewing war. They could not penetrate the fog of the future, however.
Here is the content of the missive:
Leaders of all nations, hear now the proclamation of neutrality by the Dunlendings’ leader, Enion. The nation of Dunlend declares itself sovereign and recognizes the sovereignty of all nations who send emissaries to the halls of Larach Duhnnan.
Our lands include the following areas outlined on the accompanying map:
• Everything that is south of the river abutting Tharbad of Cardolan;
• Yet west of the Gap located 2020; The extreme western border of North Gondor
• Yet north of the mountains XX23 row comprising the northern border of South Gondor.
Know all that encroachment without agreement constitutes an act against the people of Dunlend that will be acted upon. All actions have a reaction at a time of our choosing. No requests will fall upon deaf ears; we are a nation of reasonable people who wish mutual respect and commerce with all interested parties.
Know all that the Dunlendings will seek out artifacts and seek marketable goods independently or jointly with other nations as agreed upon in writing. Dunlend is a sovereign nation who may interact with anyone who is honorable in their dealings with the people thereof. No nation should take umbrage to this declaration; doing so will have reaction at a time of our choosing.
Information and commerce are welcome to all. Much can our peoples share in this Middle Earth. May this missive find thee well and prosperous.
Enion of Dunlend
Looks like the Duns are having some fun already… plan on an interesting game jaz??:):)
Rage and dismay were the two main emotions in evidence at the gathering of the Easterling tribal leaders. Could it be that so quickly and un-looked-for that the Easterlings had already been drawn into the war that had engulfed Middle Earth?
What were those Sinda warships and troops doing at the Easterling town of Riavod? Could there be that much disrespect to a neutral nation’s lands? Is it necessary for all neutrals to proclaim their neutrality as clearly as the Dunlendings?
We await news and reparations.
Confused and embarrassed :o is the Sinda for reading his map whilst held upside down. He acknowledges his defecientcies in navigating a pond and has promised to send his navy commander back to school for retraining. News of events from around Middle Earth will be sent out to all neutrals as soon as the printing presses of Cardolan Prime Newsmagnets are up and running.
Am I to get one too!?!?!?!?!?!
I’m really surprised to have bumped into a SGo fleet sailing so close to my homeland, without at least having been informed so that I could have factored that into my movement pattern.
It’s really messed up my planning, which I’ll now have to rethink in order to get back on track.
Also surprised that other FP icons have passed through my area on route to QAv without so much as a “heads up”… lucky I decided not to police my river… would I have caught DS fleets as well as FP?
Not a brilliant diplomatic start!!! I’m sure it was just first turn slip up.

Look at all the ponies on parade! I didn’t know the Eothraim Marching Band was in town. It’s time to break out the barbeque and pooper scoopers!

Dont worry too much about it!!! If the Easterlings gets mad, we’ll be happy to welcome them. Besides, seems most of my emmisaries to the neutrals have gotten lost. I TOLD them they shouldn’t spend their salary on women, yet they insist…
Dear Neutrals,
The Free People have clearly miscalculated responses to certain of our opening moves. Without doubt, our purpose was only to seize the initiative in carrying the war to the Dark Servants. We certainly did not intend any insult by our actions. Our enemies are too strong for us to seek to create more.
The Sinda Navy has angered the Easterlings. This was an innocent movement error. We apologize, sincerely. You will see that navy move off without any further provocation. We will be very careful not to move anything onto or through your hexes without permission.
The Rhudaur is currently inconvenienced by the presence of our forces in a neutral hex. There is no fault on either side here. Reasonable people on both sides will get past this, I hope, with no harm done.
FP navies set sail to attack the QA and did not alert the Haradwaith. The only nation not bothered by the blocked movement is the QA. Of course we did not mean to inconvenience the Haradwaith. We are very sorry for the lost capital orders that result from this blocked movement. We also lost a huge opportunity and we know we made a very terrible decision not to get permission. We debated this choice and chose wrong. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing if any neutral is leaning towards the DS. As much as we would like to think that all neutrals enter each game with an open mind, there are plenty of examples of neutrals that join with very clear intentions.
I hope that the neutral nations will forgive our mistakes and recognize the necessity for bold moves and aggressive strategies. Our only intention is to execute our ongoing war with the Dark Servants.
If there is anything the Noldo can do to mend our relations, please let me know directly.
Sure we’ll send you a sitrep Just forward your turn to me so that i can include that info to the neutrals as well
Dear Neutrals.
We the DS would like to apolgise to you for the FP. They are Weak and Inept Fools! They even don’t care about about your borders and Tar everyone who doesn’t think like them the same, Neutral or DS. We wish you all happiness and joy!
PS - We are not and never have been at war with Eurasia!!
Cheers Long Rider!
Let me make this clear… I have absolutely no leanings towards any side at the moment. I intend to remain a neutral for a good few turns… else I would have joined as an aligned nation from the start.
I like to play a neutral as intended… neutral. Make me want to join you… or make me want to attack you…
First turn mistakes can happen… I don’t expect FP all to share your attack plans, but a simple exchange of emails would have allowed me to H for a few actions and let you sail by… both achieving what we wanted.
DS… if you think this is pro FP, you are mistaken… as a neutral I won’t take sides… so the same could have happened (might have, who knows) with QAv navies.
Best Regards to All

V Funny… but I’m still neutral
SWEET!!! Here’s a good one for you. IK emmies fall into clutches of the Spartan women! :D:D At least they have some good taste in the matter.
Who the IK emmies or the Spartan women?
The DS have gone completely silent in game 81, have they all been abducted by the Vala … or do they not actually want to woo the neutrals?
Kudos to the FP for seemingly having their own house in order. I’m getting horrible shades of game 65 again runs off screaming
I must admit that even though all the blunders have been of FP origin, maybe they were just ruses to make the neutrals notice when they replied and then sent a newsletter…
very impressive FP… Everyone else playing… at last, proper communication…
come on DS… don’t be too shy… I may not reply, but I certainly read all emails and check out the bulletin board.
