Well, well.
This is going to be interesting.
Hope so At least with the prices as they are noone should be going bankrupt in a hurry…
A lot of nomads watering their camels in the cosy oasis of @2838.
It seems that the “grudge” in this game is towards the Corsairs.
Looking forward to some very interesting turns.
Nah, we love the Corsairs. Thats why we’re coming to visit The Woodies on the other hand, not so much. Its nice to see that Sinda have finally moved to help, but too late to prevent Osric and friends experiencing the loving hug from the 1st two Nazgul… of course noone is going bankrupt - assuming they have some pop centres. Losing 2 camps, a village and both major towns in the first three turns was a bit… careless?
Or just great play by the DS?
The DS certainly deserves credit for their well planned “let’s crush the woodman” scheme.
(A bit of carelessness on our side for the complete succes though).
Also for making some different starting moves.
No matter the final outcome, it looks like this will be a fun and challenging game.
The Corsair is always pleased to have vistors from abroad.
Not sure if I can accomodate so many at once, so please come one at a time.
Wondering a bit though why the Long Rider and Cloud Lord moved all the way from Mordor,
when the hospitable North Gondor is much closer.
Well the climate is much nicer
Hey - any of your FP friends want to join in on the Forum? You’re doing all the work…
Now - whats going to happen at 3124 this turn? Anyone want to start the betting?
Our regular heavy poster is not in this game, so for now it is only me.
I think there are numerous locations where a betting on the outcome could be in place.
As for 3124, my guess is it will come to a fight!
So pleased to see the honorable Cpt. Drurgandra visiting the Havens of Umbar.
Also glad to see the rest of the visitors from abroad still grazing in the desert.
As I said before, I can not accommodate all at once.
I don’t think you’ll be accommodating any now…
Nice to see SG trying so very valiantly to help you out
Aww Rommel, dont tease the nice pirate. You know SG isnt really trying to help at all - SG is hoping we kill the pirates so that he can be king of the seas again
After SG’s enconter with Haruth Ramam and the Hogwarts collegium I believe the Corsair is still the ruler of the waterways of Middleearth.
Well you sure have the most ships. SG’s evil evil plan, though, is that you dont have the ability to fill them with troops anymore… what a shame he went in the wrong direction, eh? Did you see Game of Thrones? I can just tell that he’s a Lannister…
Well there’s no SG navy at Kings Landing…
So… four turns since the last post. T12 back and the combined might of Arth, Duns, Cardy, Noldo, Dwa and EO have finally kicked WK and Rhu out of Eriador. Good job we didnt try to hold on with characters eh?!
I think the tally so far stands:
DS Cities / MTs lost: 1804, 2305, 2006, 2409, 2008, 1910, 2135 = 7
FP Cities / MTs lost: 2508, 2711, 2514, 2912, 4413, 4217, 3024, 3124, 2337, 2438, 2039, 2339 = 12
We’ve won in the South, landed in SG, ahead in Mirkwood, Sea of Rhun, overrunning the EoPlex, secure in Mordor… feeling a bit smug at the moment ;p
Thanks for a good game! A shame you guys don’t fancy a re-match…
It looked like a great game from the outside. I am now in 3 games of ME of various types, Kinstrife, 1650 gunboat and WT. This is an incredibly honed game. As I play I suddenly twigged a new reason WHY the orders are numbered in the sequence they are, or just how fiendish the terrain map is sometimes. I am still learning subtleties of artifact and mage play! There are Never Never enough character actions and being forced to 215 ‘just in case’ is horrendous but your character dying is even worse!
Anyway, I’m rambling.
Sounds like there is a team here that needs opposition!
