Game 98 Begins

I bid welcome to both the Free Peoples and Dark Servants of Game 98. The Corsairs eagerly await news from the surrounding nations on the events currently taking place across Middle Earth.

The Sea Lords of Umbar especially welcome any news from our neighbour, the Haradwaith. Our goals should prove to be very similar, as a war between our great nations is indeed as foolish pursuit.

Lord Teldumeir

Lord Arfanil sends his greetings as well. He is eager to open up a dialog with our many neighbors, especially the Dunlendings. We do not intend to sit on the fence for long.

Hi there corsairs
I’m Jon, Dwarf player in game 98.
Hope you enjoy the game (and naturally that you wish to join the forces of righteousness!).
I’ll try to keep you posted of developments throughout the game.
Have a good one
Jon

We thank you for your welcoming Lord Teldumir, as well as for yours - Lord Arfanil.

The war has truly come suddenly, and we are presently assessing the News of Middle Earth as a whole, but I am afraid that I have no news as of right now.
Riders have been sent to the far corners of the continent, but the roads are dangerous and it might take some time before news will arrive.

Speaking of news this form can easyly be intercepted by the Dark, which would have devestating consequenses.
Therefor we suggest a more direct line for our news to travel, when the time comes, if the information should be delicate.

Greatings from

Celdrahil, Southern Gondor

Lord Hallas from the lands of Cardolan extends his regards to the neighbors in the Northwest. While there appears to be a pressing need to go to battle, there are still many alliances to be made. I welcome any and all discussions with my Rhudaur and Dunland brethren.

To a “good” game (pun intended :-),

Kyle (aka Cardolan 98)

Lord Metriath,

Lord Arfanhil requests an audience at your earliest convenience. He can be reached at mepbem@comcast.net

PS - the same goes for all other Lords in the upcoming struggle for Middle Earth!

Greetings Lords and Leaders of MiddleEarth.

Finally all doughts has been cast away. Sauron has declared his return and his intend to conquer and enslave. The forces of the Eye marches as I speak and there is no time for quarrels and petty differences. The Witchking will be the first to feel the determination of a strong and united Arnor.

King Argeleb II of Arthedain

Haradwaith the mediocre pirates signing in.
All emmisaries from nations of the Free, Dark and other neutrals are welcome to drop me a line at sauron @ post11.tele.dk

Ulrik

HEHE Ulrik B. Are you up for a stereo canning ? Just a shame that I am so fare away from you

Jeppe AKA Argie of Arthedain

Before the war between Free Peoples and Dark Servants begins in earnest, the Lords of Umbar should state the following:

  • I will probably remain neutral for the first 10 turns of play. As such, you will not see any hostile military action from my part. Any army movements will simply be for the purpose of posting camps.

  • If, and when the Corsairs do decide to align ourselves with either the Free Peoples or the Dark Servants, I will give fair warning to all the nations in this war. No sudden sneak attacks like those witnessed in Game 82.:stuck_out_tongue:

Other than that, you can reach me at < pbshock@hotmail.com >. This war should prove most intriguing.

Lord Teldumeir

Hi Metriath

Are you “badmouthing” some other guy in game 82 that are in this game too or did you sneak up on somebody ?

But nice that you stay put in your peaked shoes and let us bang up Mordor in the mean time

Jeppe/Arthedain

Uhhh… Just stumbled across the game 82 threat :frowning: Forget my question.

Hmmm, still no DS posting. Hope this isn’t a sign of their communicative skills :frowning:

To the other Neutrals: Emmisaries should reach your capitals shortly.

Ossim, pirate in disguise

As a sign of our communicative skills, I am unable to post. Just re-confirmed the registration. Guess there’s no result…

Hej Thomas,

En til dansker

Not sure what your post means though. A post saying you can not post sounds contradictive to me  Is this a DS scham tactic ?

Jeppe/Arthedain

But there was! Halleluja. Sorry about the last post

So Dark Lieutenants checking in. (Another Dane!)

Greetings from the Havens of Umbar,

An excellent first turn overall for the Corsairs. How goes the preparations for war in the Northern lands? My knowledge of the happenings in the outside world are limited at this point. Any and all news from the other nations of this Middle Earth are more than welcome. I have noticed that the Free Peoples of Southern Gondor ran into a Haradwaith navy. A very interesting opening move for both these two players.

Lord Teldumeir

P.S. What does everyone think of the new colour maps supplied by Middle Earth games? They’re quite an improvement if you ask me.

Greetings allies, foes and still undecided leaders.

The forces of the free’s campaign against the WitchKing goes as planned. Cardolan forces are at the gates of Eldanar which will soon fall and more determind armies will follow the first wave. All there will be left in Angmar to cover for the winter snow will be ash…

The free also send words to apologies to the Easterling leaders for the presence of Northmen forces at Riavod. This is not in any way a sign of aggression, but simple an miscomprehended order. Please send us words if You need military assistance to deal with the foul black hulls from Tol Burûth lurking outside your harbors.

The leaders of the free are however sorry to find an Haradwaith navy blocking the Anduin river entrance to Mordor, delaying free people navies approch to The Enemy. I, Argeleb II, King of Arthedain takes this as a bad owmen with regards to Kas Shadoul’s relations with the unspeakable…

Argeleb II - King of Arthedain

Ah the smell of burning ork flesh, not to mention the smoldering encampments. My oppologies to those down wind of Angmar. We are rushing a cartload of marshmellows, chocolates and graham crackers north for a grand ole’ smore’ party. Now we just need to figure out which (pun intended) pop center to hold it in :-).

Lord Hallas (Marshmellow King)
