Game discussions

Your solution lies in a message board alike Deft's new one.

Else with a ML, you have to depend on the users to change their topics accordingly
so if you don't want to read about G37 for instance, the delete key is ever handy.

It's a norm with ML to get many varieties of e-ms and as the list grows, dozens of
similar e-ms as ppl talk about the same topic.

This ML is small (small number of subscribers). One of the other MLs I'm
subscribed to can easily get btwn 1 to 400++ messages a day. Eg, when nearly 200+
ppl started talking about "If Gandalf was a Football Manager, He would Manage ...
?" Go Figure.

Hi,

Um - for the first time ever I think that I disagree with Colin - - sorry
mate the good days are gone.

Tell me about it! Just don't start me off on team play, or people being
polite in emails, or whether neutrals really are neutral any more, or
...
On the other hand I am glad that the bad old days of, cough, other GMs
are gone!

I was expecting people to disagree with me, the problem is that I simply
don't have time to read everything, as it is I receive up to 100 emails
a day!

And I generally prefer it to the days when there was one email a month
type list as well.

Good gods yes!

OK, I take the point. However could people be doubly careful about how
they thread their messages? That way those who don't want to read about
a game they're not in can simply ignore that thread. If someone wants to
say something of general interest, could that be posted under a new
thread rather than risk being buried in an existing game specific
thread?

Colin.
