Game takeovers

Hi,
Whilst the meeting of US and UK cultures is proving highly
entertaining, it does beg the question what would happen if
Harlequin ever took over a similar games franchise in
France. Or even better, how about Harlequin take over a
football (soccer for our US friends) PBM running in
Germany?!

Colin.

FAO Colin - usually I understand what you mean but this time I am
confused... We had a football game once...

England would want to field an extra player, since they have a GWC held
over from 1966.

Something tells me you'd demand that the other team wear English
uniforms, since that's the way you've always done it in England and
they are clearly better.

Please note that we are (mostly) Welsh - rugby?! Sam is English, myself
Welsh, Ed Welsh, Rob Welsh, Jim English, Stuart some country from across the
sea that I have never heard off...

RD: If Harlequin took a games franchise in France, doubtless the French
would honour it in their usual way, ie by refusing to accept any rulings
they didn't like. Milk, lamb, apples and most recently beef... need I go
on? The reason is, they have a massive inferiority complex ever since the
War (oops, we musn't mention that, must we?

Tongue firmly in cheek,

Wrong! America would be the team fielding the extra player. And they'd limit
participating countries to the US and Canada.

Florida would field 537 extra players.

Wrong. The French, as a nation, have a massive *superiority* complex.
Unfortunately, they have nothing to back it up with and the rest of the
world doesn't seem to go along with their game.

Which country has implemented the least EU directives? Which has implemented
the most?

Which country is seen as a good EU team player? Which is seen as the worst?

The answers are the same to the first and third questions, and the second
and fourth.
