Game Variations

Some while ago there was some discussion about variations to the Middle
Earth games.

One variation I would like to try would be to take the team element out of
the game. This might be done by having an all neutral game of 4th Age with
no one having any information at the start about anyone else's position.

Anyone else fancy this ? or am I just being a bit loopier than usual ?

David

Can be done - we would have to have 23 nations only to stop the program
ending the game. Get 10 players to say yes and I will push it.

Well you made me smile. The reason ME is superior to other PBMs is
simply because of the team element. Wanting to take the team element
out, is rather like wanting to take the team element out of cricket or
football. To a certain extent, 4th age does this already - it's the
main reason why I personally don't like 4th age, and think of it as a
step backwards in the development of the game.

Good luck to you though if you get your game - I've certainly played
with one or two chaps whom it would suit!
