A very mature response.

I have played one game with Mark. An excellent player
and teammate. One of our more respectable and mature
professional types.

This arrogant, pompous retort is absolutely uncalled
for. A typical knee-jerk superiority complex displayed
by one who whines on and on and on and on about
all the other lower forms of humans who do things bad
(read : different). This type of sublime BS is worse
than the anonymous flaming crap on the message boards.

Disgusted.

We really don't want to go down this rat hole! Everyone plays for different
reasons with different goals and we must respect different opinions - even
if we don't agree with them. This thread can easily digress into a flame
war.

I don't entirely agree with Mark's apparent hardcore sentiment, but he was
given an asset by DGE and deserves to know the fate of those assets. I also
play with a team focus, ignore VCs, and just use VPs as a relative gauge of
my opponents overall strength. But as a fluke also have managed to get some
winners certificates that I haven't had a chance to burn because I've been
involved in some very enjoyable grudge matches of late. I don't personally
care if Harlequin chooses not to honor the certificates from DGE, but others
might and they deserve a policy statement from Harlequin regarding these
legacy assets from DGE.
