Game Winners Certificates

Obviously don't know (yet) how H-A-R-L-E-Q-U-I-N fills games...all this talk about getting
bumped......?

When you signed up for a game with Deft, you gave them a listing of nations you would prefer,
in order of preference. The promise to "try their best" to make everyone happy.

Does H-A-R-L-E-Q-U-I-N tell you "YOU WILL PLAY <***> IN THE NEXT GAME"....?

This doesn't make sense....or, as I am getting the creeping suspicion, you sign up for a
particular nation, and then get in the next game where that nation is free...?

This doesn't make sense either. Pick a popular nation, and 14 other people are ahead of you
in line....does every game have to wait until each of 25 are actually "chosen" first? If not who
gets to choose and who gets the lottery?

Myself, I just want in the VERY NEXT GAME when I send in a request to play........

Please help us pathetic, poor speaking, burger-confused, individualistic anti-team types who,
from the continent that took over the leadership of the world over a hundred years ago,
can't seem to make sense of what must be an extremely simple (such that even a child, well,
maybe not an american child...could understand it...) system?

Your gracious insight and understanding most appreciated.

oh yeah, I'm confused regarding the email humour....I often see  when I'm assuming, by
the words and the tone, that the writer really means :stuck_out_tongue: but are just being polite....? Yes ?

Hi Brad

It looks like you'll be right at home here.

The most common way is that I look a the list of open nations, and then apply for a few nations, with a pri list.

I think this is the last list I got, it's old, from the 8th of December 2000.
2950 [Game 22] Normal 2950 game: Available: All
1650 [Game 57] Normal 1650 game: Available: 1-3, 6, 7, 15-16, 24
1000 [Game 49]: 12 players

There are also the option to join a game where some one dropped. You get a free turn then.

Some times you're slow and another guy beat you too it. Is that so bad? I don't get sad over such little things.

Hope this helps.

Now let's play.

"..took over the leadership of the world over a hundred years ago."
SURE YOU DID!

No - we post the available positions that are in the games we are taking
set-ups for and players contact us informing us what they would like to
play. We don't hold over "wants" for the next game (24 WW scenarios develop
then). Exceptions are Team games (what DGE call Grudge so I would like to
use DGE definition this from now on - team indicate a group of around 5
players wanting to play together in the NAmer). We generally put individual
players in with the NAmer team game as well. Witha bigger player base we
might be able to support more than one game for each scenario but I haven't
checked yet.

 is sort of tongue and cheek, I use it to remove the harshness that
normal language brings across in emails. Also for "smiles". :stuck_out_tongue: is more
sticking tongue out at a player, also with a hint of humour. SHOUTING is
tryign to stress a point, but does raise the odd hackle or two - I would
advise anyone using email to be cautious of that.
