The following new games are filling up.
1650 2wk All Neutral [Game 98]: Ask for rules - all Neutral format of game
(All v All). 12 nations available [24/7] Note you can join with an ally.
1650 2wk Gunboat [Game 97]: 6 Duos available (see below changed from normal
format) [24/7]
1650 2wk [Game 95]: 6 nations available.[24/5]
2950 2wk [Game 20]: 13 nations available. [23/5]
1000 2wk [Game 40]: Standard game - new format for set-up, regional
placement, King and Prince characters, extra PCs. Ask for rules. 6 Nations
available. [13/5]

Grudge Games we need opposition for:
Mark Seward 1000 Grudge team

I have drop-outs available - don't forget you get a free turn for taking
these up...
E [Early] = 0-10 turn, M [Midgame]= 11-20, L [Late game] = 21+ [A= Aligned

Okay I'll see if we can actually set up a game of this so if you're interested get in touch with your name, account number and list of nations you want to play (at least 3) (of list please). If you want Neutrals I'll need more.

Costs are $3.00 + 50c per day - and maximum length of turnaround is 1wk. W/ends don't count (we don't work then) and turns are to be sent in using AM or MEOW if you want this discounted rate otherwise normal cost. We'll charge for turns in advance to save us a lot of admin (blocks of 4).

Works out to be around $10 per week I'd guess (3-4 days turnaround I'd estimate) for two turns compared with $7.60 for normal turns.

W/ends don't count towards the turnaround.

I want to make sure that I understand this... I get my turn on a Monday AM and submit orders on monday PM. Do I pay .50 per day while I wait for the other guys to submit orders? Or do I pay for my own turnaround time...?

Turnaround time. Clearly players should only play this if they want to play a fast game.

Any control on stopping a DS team from processing
every week in winter and every 3 days in summer, or
will the game calendar be controlled to ensure 13
weeks of each season?

In otherwords, I am Johnny-on-the-spot, submitting orders in less than 24 hours, while Joey Slowpoke waits a week to submit his... Do I pay $3.00 and Slowpoke pays $5.50, or do we both pay $5.50. And if Joey IS being a slowpoke, will MEGames let us all know who is spending our money, so we can gang up on him and destroy him?

Turnaround means the turn turnaround - ie the total length of time it takes for all the turns to come back.

My own turnaround time, or the total turnaround time for all players? So basically this is 1-week game for $5.50?

I think the $3.00 per turn is a bit misleading since (as I
understand things) "Joe Slowpoke" will make the whole team pay $5.50.

If it was FA1000 then you could take out "Joe Slowpoke". Still a
discounted price for 1650 players. Seems like GSI charged $5.50 for
1-week games about 9 years ago.

I would be interested in trying a (new) FA game under these
guidelines. Anyone in the currently filling game interested in this
type of game?

Nope. It's a process when ready game. As it's all new we don't know yet what it will be. I expect that around 6 turns per month instead of 4 though so faster than a 1wk game on average. We're not sure yet as it's experimental.

Maybe. I don't think it's misleading. I've pretty much put my cards on the table about what I'm trying to do here.

Mt point was 5.50 is the most if there is a one week limit. That is
a good thing compared to standard pricing. It is also equal to what
GSI charged 9 years ago, which speaks well of MEG.

Nope - $3.50 - the clock ticks on the next day. Monday process, Tuesday (if in the unlikely event everyone had their turn in) then it would be $3.50.

Correct. Not with this pricing structure. My estimate (as mentioned) is around 6 turns per month - we'll see how accurate that is later in the game after a few turns have run.

I think more people would try Gunboat under this pricing structure.

To me, the price break (even at 5.50)and faster pace are good ideas.

More players would play ANY format under reduced cost.... :slight_smile:

Possibly - for us obviously we want to give you guys the best game. If I could guarantee more turns run for less cost for a player to run that turn obviously I'd do it but at present I'm not convinced.

Yes and no. You're implying that each turn will take 5 days to run - we don't know that yet. The turn cost is dependent on the day of process - that is correct, but we don't know how long it will take - anything from 1 day to 1wk is possible and I expect something in the middle. If it works out right I can imagine games where it processes on Monday and Friday but as we've never run a game like this I don't know yet... I'd like to give it a try though.
