Considering various options personally, but curiosity
begs the question: Has this 2950 game been sitting on
13 players since January 3?

No. That was the last game. If you're asking has it not filled yet that's correct. 2950 are slow to fill. We have a lot of players wanting Neutrals and not wanting the normal nations so much... :_)

Why do you have date information of the previous game
there? I thought that notation meant "this game
started filling on this day"..?

I'm not sure that the month/day/year format is of UK origin, Ed... If it was, being a Brit I would probably have heard of it. It's purely American.

On a related note, US paper sizes are of Dutch origin pre 1700, and the US very nearly switched to the metric system before the French but Jefferson was defeated in that proposition. (Bonus points: name the ONLY other country that hasn't yet switched to the ISO standard.)

Be careful about citing "heritage" as an excuse, for you may find it a slippery thing.

IF the above armies did battle, ARMY 2 (Rest of World) would be the likely
victor, and would have taken approximately 76% losses, which may leave
about 500,000 troops with a Strength near 2 and a Constitution of around
11.

So yay! We win. (according to the combat calculator). Even if we take the

The US most certainly did not invent everything ever. Some of the more...colorful, shall we say...things such as war, imperialism, subjugation, exploitation of less advanced civilizations, we learned from the best...the Europeans

Fair enough.

The whole thing was meant as a joke, but you have taken it as something else apparently, and the most humorous part is, this whole thing was started by general comments about Americans that I am sure many people make...I wonder how much you thought to rise to defense against those. Of course, its generally easier to get indignant when the fun is poked at you or your group.

I apologize that you have taken offense at my humor. However, if you are going to lash out with the statement about "replacing french with jew" do yourself a favor and defend all nationalities, not just your own.

I personally have no problem poking fun at, or showing respect for, America, or England or France, or most anyone, for that matter...They have all done stupid, humorous and upstanding things. I doubt I am far off in saying that more glib comments are made about America and Americans than even the French.

My comment was needless to say, tongue in cheek. I would like to point out that I am NOT European except by geography. I am British, and more specifically English, and I am well aware of our, ahem, heritage. I thought you stateside fellows had a sense of humour?
