Gandalf's Ring

I have heard rumors that Gandalf will track anyone who steals his ring, and eventually attack them.

Is this true in the 2950 version?

Has anyone actually had it happen, or going off a friend of a friend?

In one of my current games, I stole Gandalf’s ring 14 turns ago. If he’s tracking me, he’s doing a very poor job. In fact, he hasn’t turned up on any of the team’s pdfs since then.

I stole Gandalf’s ring in Game 77.

He also never came after it.
