Gary Gygax - Author of D & D has died

A sad day for fans of RPG: The
man who co-created Dungeons & Dragons is dead.
Gary Gygax died Tuesday morning at his home in Lake Geneva, Wis. His
wife Gail says the 69-year-old had been suffering from health problems
for several years.

A sad day indeed........

I shall re-read the Gord the Rogue novels as a fitting tribute to the creator.....

Saga of Old City

Artifact of Evil

Dance of Demons

and there were a few others...all written by E.G.G.

Everyone should roll a d20 in his honour.

We sort of did, killed the odd Kobold in our Shadow Fist campaign last night along with bringing out the best/worst D&D story that we were in. Buying Chickens cos they were cheaper than rations for example.

I always liked Gary. Met him a few times, had pizza and beer with him once.
Very friendly sort but not one of those gamers that would make people say
"Oh, you are a bunch of wierdos". He'll be missed, that's for sure.

A dodecahedron would be a d12; the technical term for a d20 is
icosahedron.
