About six or seven message posted at the end of the other gb14 thread. With our gunboat game and the other gunboat game ending hopefully we can get another one started pretty quickly here.
Cardolan/Sinda is a really powerful and well rounded duo of nations to play. I think Clint did really well as this duo in a previous game as well. I highly recommend it, especially if you never get attacked.
I don’t believe Clint was pleased with our Sinda play (a little to passive for his style), but he probably would have liked what we did as Cardolan and Arthedain.
One thing to point out about balance (for Dave Holt). The free side never lost a nation and only one player quit and it was on turn three. Your side lost a couple of nations early and was fighting from behind almost from the beginning. I would like to here from the ice king/long rider and the original witch king and rhuduar players.
I posted a reply on the other thread, was playing Rhudaur/Dark Lieutenants originally and picked up Corsairs, around turn 11.
Would love to hear why WK/BS was dropped so early as it certainly made things harder for me.

Yeh it meant the dwarves had to take the fight to Mordor (and DG on the way) which took financial support from the NM who was trying to support the Harad at the same time and keep the LR et al at bay. I understand the appeal - Sindar is safe IF the woodmen, NM, Eoth and dwarves keep Mirkwood in check. If not then it needs to go on the offensive.
Different nations clearly have different strengths and keeping an eye on what you think is happening is very hard to get right. I saw Morannon change hands 3 times in the game - most amusing. I Infed 3222 (and then had it taken from me) and had the choice of sending a capital burning army to the IK or through into Mordor (went into Mordor as I saw Dun troops in Ithil Pass). Captured 3822 with the NM only to have it Infed from me by the FK - right pain that was. Could have gone for the burn but felt I could hold it.
Most fun was penultimate turn over-running FK and BS armies around Ithil with the dwarves.
I think the FP would have won this earlier if you guys had burned instead of captured on your various incursions into Mordor. Since you didn’t burn, I had the CL take out the commanders (way too many failed K/A attempts or you wouldn’t have made it as far) and then FK & CL emissaries took back all of the pops that had been captured and pumped them back up again to MTs. Couldn’t hold Morannon as CL though. I should have xfered it to FK.
For the most part, I think the FP out-played the DS. Congratulations FP!
I think maybe the blind sorceror was a little irritated at it taking his army 11 turns to get in a fight…he kept trying to cross bridges that suddenly disappeared…and his witch king position had to be taking a real beating up in the nw…nice going taking all my pop centers…I knew it was a risk sending my dun cav to mordor…came in handy with s gondor mostly working in harad’s area though
I wasn’t given the special character to do that until the second turn…being my first gunboat game I assumed something else was supposed to happen other then what was in the rules <like maybe it had been decided to punch it in for me>…they did give me the character and I used him for that on the next turn though
so is someone going to set up a web site so we can share pdfs or something like that? I would but unfortunately my computer illiteracy precludes me from doing so…I would like to see what was happening in the rest of the world though
