Duns can be reached at jeremy.reeves@comcast.net.

Well JR Dun, have they been on you? The war has begun. The Elven Conspiracy has moved to invade the lands of mutants led by Nazgul and rebel lords greedy for conquest. What a pile of squabbling children - arguing and pointing fingers for centuries… Well, I suppose we’ll have to be the ones to show the way, wot? Maybe we’ll usher in the inevitable Age of Man a little earlier than expected…

The fires of war glowed brightly as Khamul stood on the ramparts of Dol Guldor, his never ending gaze falling on the disurbances in the woods. The boisterous, tubby dwarves think high of themselves, but their overjoyous manner and terrible ale smell made them very easy targets for the spirits in the command of his mages. The men were too comfortable as well, so they must be put into servitude, they must succumb to the will of Sauron. The elves think themselves untouchable, but they are to be dealt with soon enough. To the North, where the kingdoms of men think they do no wrong, when the unrighteously invade the First. They will fall soon enough. Next, to the south and east, where he could not only see the mass of horses, but smell them too. That many horses weren’t that hard to track either, not only by the literally beaten path, but by the miles of manure left carelessly behind.

The will of the Dark Lord Sauron will be spread, whether or not the nasty elves, foolish men, and stumpy dwarves like it.

Long Live Sauron!
Long Live Famine!
Long Live the Horsemen!

Long Rider- I saw your “Spring Fashion Show” as it sailed by on its way to Esgaroth. No offense but fur is so last year and red is really not your color. Enjoyed the show though as you passed- I heard there was a large Northmen audience waiting when you arrived.

Funny how you had some of the Easterlings already on board. Are they captives or willing participants?

Eothraim Horselords,

Indeed you must have seen the clearance rack show as we moved into the lands of the Northmen on our way to secure trade with the Sindar in the area…lol…those NM armies are in such numbers because they are THAT far behind on such matters and really want our old wares.

As for the Easterlings…what makes you think they are working with anyone other than themselves? They apparently…apparently…moved some troops around but is it not your troops in his town? I find it hard for you to cast an aspersion my way about chaining the powerful and independent Easterling people and to say such while occupying their lands must be similar in definition to

“no boots on the ground” “but the regime must change” crap that makes it way down stream to the LR home in the Rhun sea…you say he is moving against you as you are actually the aggressors…

 You must name an emissary O…please whatever just shut up…BAM…in your face bizitch…A

Fear Sauron
Fear Death
Fear the IV

Ah you know how it is, had too much to drink the night before- just had to stop to use the restroom. Thing is there was this really interesting magazine article on whether or not Sauron was actually a woman and was secretly married to Tarondor. Next thing you knew it was late and we thought, “hey what the hell we’ll just stop here for the night”

Did you know that Sauron has a third nipple? True, I’ve seen pictures…

Those aren’t nipples…

What…then what the Morgoth are they? Why is all that…liquid…OH NO…

…anyway…

SO

Are the Eothraim troops not going to attack the Ea people? Lemme guess…you are simply organizing the community? Hmm…grass roots campaigns often simply mean they are starting small…

I’d be cautious…the EA are strongly independents…they may not like you being their (like eastern Kentuckians who shoot anyone who isn’t blue).

:stuck_out_tongue:

… … Yes I see you standing there Voisiol…say what you will. … …

It is apparent to my scrying Lord Uvatha that the aligned Dwarves, Elves, and Men are working in concert. They have jointly invaded Carn Dum and have positioned themselves to attack Barad Ungol, the Black Gate, and Goblin Gate.

… … Goldwine…what other news … …

Lord, it appears the Eothraim have moved onto even a neutrally aligned country in that of the Easterlings. There is no word of actions against other neutrals.

… … Hargrog… …

Sire, armies spread out. Cavalry East and West of Mordor. Navy was deployed for maneuvers.

… … Hear now my decrees… …

… …That is all for now… …

But Lord, This has never been discussed! This is not convention!!

… … That is all… …

Sire! All walk out

…From the shadows behind the tables a figure wrapped in a long, black cloak emerges. He stands quietly, no words escape his mouth. A smirk is the only sense of his thoughts.

… …Take whom you wish. You know what must be done… …

It shall be as commanded, Lord. Expect word through the Falconer.

… …The peoples of Middle Earth shall remember why they are afraid of the dark. Shadows that snatch their souls are not easily dismissed by mere candle light… …

… …Remind them of their fear… …

…As he melts away, as quiet as a whisper, Uvatha lifts his gaze to the artifact…Concentrating he sends his intent to his bretheren. They will need to be aware of this. They will need to prepare…

How fair thee puny free people? No one is posting so we have decided to send a missive.

Flee and surrender now, as the worst is yet to come. There is no point in fighting that which cannot be defeated. Lord Sauron shall rule, with Murazor on his right, Urzahil to his left, and Khamul in the shadows of the throne. You will all perish under the might of the Servants.

The Nine Ride Again
The Horsemen have appeared, and so begins the End

Famine

So this thread has made for boring reading… Are the Freepies ready to give up yet??

UPDATE: It is going on to turn 14, WiK is still in the North, just a little to the east of where he started. The weak attempts to remove me (DrL) from Mirkwood have only just begun to work… thanks for taking the keep off of my hands… have to give credit to the team for helping me stay where I was and fending off the petty attempts to bankrupt me by suiciding on the walls every turn. Overall the poor freepies have spent more on trying to bankrupt me than they have cost me overall. 4 characters have died in 4 consecutive turns at DG, and Ohtar dies this past turn at Sarn G. Countless faces without names and names without faces have fallen in vain.

Rhudaur has gone free, and the Easterling to the Dark. Who knows what the other neutrals are doing… Playing musical chairs with no discernable effect on anyone by the looks of things…

Both Rhun and the EOplex now belong in the hands of the Servants, and soon, we will retake DG, and claim more for our Lord Sauron.

The Northmen have been pushed all the way to 3109, where we now sit with armies. The Woodmen new capitol has been 2912 since turn 3, when we removed him from his original holdings. We now have armies here as well. We removed the Eothraim from his original holdings.

The Ithil pass is ours, and the bridge is down here, as well as to the South and East of Pelargir.

It was foretold and now come to fruition. The End is Near, and the Beginning of the End has already come.

Obviously, you’re not the QA…

Harad

Correct. And for as much time as you had to build, you managed to take two major towns and a town away from a basically defensless nation… Yeah you really showed us up…
And then, on top of that you had the audacity to tell us to stay out of your way and let you get away with attacking us, just so that you could move your expansion project into the Gondors…

In the numbers, yes, Harad is a very wealthy nation. You have managed to aquire two major towns and a town from us, and at least one major town from South Gondor. In that time, you have lost how many characters? Seven? Eight? And how much gold has been taken? 70K or more since you launched your attack? If you look at it, spreading your attention has cost you a LOT more that you have gained…

It’s good to see that we’re completely incapable of thinking outside the box. And, of course, putting a silly game with magic swords and dragons into emotional perspective.

Cheers,

Harad

Just looking for some competition, since it seems that this game has been completely devoid of it. I know you have been orchestrating a neutral alliance… Not that hard to see… I apologize that I may have come across as “emotional” and if that offends you, then fine, that’s your own problem. I’ll just do this to make it easier for you to read:bash::fork::hug::stab::(:o:p:) . All I want is decent competition, and that itself is what I play this game for. It might be a “silly game with magic swords and dragons”, but if that’s all you think it is, maybe you have lost your competitve spirit there Brad

The lack of competition isn’t something you can pin on me - I’m just as disappointed because, if you can imagine a game where both sides were in desperate straights, the Neutral Alliance would have been a hell of a lot more interesting and effective. Alas, it seems the FP have folded on the one side and nothing we do matters…so we’re both screwed by the imbalance…:frowning:

… Neutral Alliance? … that reminds me on things I posted long ago.
Looks like even Brad has found out that “indi”-games are wasted money.

Have Fun!

Gixxx

Been trying to get 5 Noots together for years. Almost had 4, alas, in such a one sided affair, yes, less value than desired, but not wasted totally, that’s for sure.

Ideally, for the amusement of all 20, we’d see the Allegiances cooperate in order to stamp out the Noots - how long would that take? Who would blink first?

Given equal sides, the challenge on the Noot part is to survive as long as possible. And everyone get’s a much longer and certainly more interesting game.

Shame.

Cheers,

Hi

The FP today decide to offer our surrender of Game 54. Everyone left on our team agreed there was no point carrying on and dragging out the game any longer as our position was now un-winable.

Well played to all the DS
