Some players are worried that we interfere in the game. We have had this
sort of query before. Basically, to be brutally honest, we aren't
particularly interested in who actually wins the game - it would not be
impartial if we did! We're just interested in running a good game. This
means that from time to time that players have bad luck, and sometimes very
bad luck. (I have been on the bad end of a 4-1 challenge go against me a
number of times now for example!) I have yet to hear a player inform me of
the incredibly good luck they have had, and that that should be sorted out!

Please be assured that we do not interfere in the program favourably or
otherwise for any of our players.
Thanks
Clint

RD: it's great shame you should have to say this, Clint. I take it for
granted you (and the rest of the GMs) are impartial. Keep up the good work!
Richard.

I'll second that. I breezed over this initial post, but I thank
RD for pointing out the obvious.
Personally would like to know, out of some sense of morbid curiousity,
who would have made such accusations, however politely implied they
may have seemed. I'm hoping the original thread was written as a
result of either a newbie without enough experience as a Harly
customer spouting off (hopefully, for our sake, towards a new
hobby...) or as a politically correct, extra-careful clarification
of the odd relaxed moment of wit at the keyboard.
Either way, t'is a shame. The other way, an accusation, well, shame
on you.
Regards,
BB for Arfy (you know, the one who's going to win his challenge this
turn....right..?..
All in favor say "Aye". I must agree. In all my years of gaming with
professional companies like GSI, Reality, and now
Harlequin/MiddleEarthGames, I have never thought that a GM was intentionally
trying to sway a result one way or another. I've even played in grudge
games against the GMs and they did their best to be completely above board.
They could've looked at turns and been where we were headed, but they
didn't. They had a non-playing GM put in the orders and just sent out the
results.
And I, for one, would like to thank all the GMs I've ever played under for
their honesty and fairness.
