for the last week or two we’ve been having a lot of problems with one of our machines. This is the machine that runs Kinstrife games and sends out turns.
We first started having the problems 2 weeks ago and I started building a new machine to replace it. Yesterday that machine stopped restarting at all so we’ve lost access to it
The new machine is now ready (and I’m writing to you from it now) but some of the software we need to run games is not in place yet because by unlucky coincidence our coder is away at the moment on holiday until the weekend.
We haven’t lost any data because we’d been backing everything up since the problem started.
Currently we can’t get the SQL server set up correctly which is needed to be able to run and edit Kinstrife so we can’t run any Kinstrife game.
I’m confident we’ll have all these issues sorted out early next week and get everything back to normal but things will be a bit slower as we work out all the little details and solve any issues. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get Kinstrife working so far and it doesn’t look like it will be working before the close of business today but we have managed to set up remote access for our coder so he can work on this over the weekend.
I’m sorry for any issues you encounter for the next few working days we’ll get the fixed as soon as we can and things should be back to normal soon.
