I (for one) like having the GMs in games.
I think it endorses the product, and...let's face it...if we were in their
shoes we (players come GMs) would be DYING to play.
It's a fun game; why deny it to those who provide it, forcing them to glean
what vicarious jollies they can watching everyone else enjoy?
If impartiality is an issue, why not counterbalance GM with GM?
IE have two play in games together, watchdogging each other, so to speak.

This is a good suggestion in theory but a bit more difficult to run. We did
game 35 like this with GMs on either side (the office game) and it meant
that sometimes we were tight for free GMs to actually run the game!
Realistically there would be no way for the one GM to watch over the other
anyway. Part of the fun of playing - as we're friendly types - is playing
in the same game as GMs in the office as well. Ed and Rob in g55, Clint &
Sam in g48, game 46 had 3(4) GMs in it game 77 has me, Stu, Sam, Ed, in it -
Rob and Dafydd run the game.

I don't' care if the GM's play, people who run a game don't necessarily play
it as good as they manage it.
I think I can tear them up better than others <vbg>
