While I have never played Gunboat, I don't see anything wrong with it. You are not actually damaging your ally and, in a limited intelligence game, the info can be proceless.

Subject: [mepbmlist] Gunboat rules
Date: Thu, 8 Jan 2004 22:15:32 -0000Hi all
For those of you that play Gunboat......:
The rules state: "No influencing, stealing, cursing ETC on or from or to your team." I think Clint would say that the ETC means any other "aggressive act".
Here's my question (which Clint knows I am going to the list on):
Is doubling a friendly nation's character an aggressive act? In a team game it certainly isnt - but what about a gunboat game?
I have my views but would be interested in yours...
Cheers
Mike[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
