Help on 725 Order, Please

The rules are very specific regarding the starting rank of a named
character for every "Name Character as" order, but not for the 725
order. The 728, 731, 734 and 737 orders all state that the new
character will be "at rank 30 or at the rank of the naming character,
whichever is lower." I realize some nations can hire at higher ranks
as a nation bonus.

The 725 order does not mention the restriction above. Can a 20
commander name a 30 Agent, Emissary or Mage?

Thanks in advance for the clarification.

RD Yes, even a commander rank 10 can do this. For ten grand I should think
so too!

Richard.

The 725 order can be issued by any Commander (10-100), and will net you 30 skill
points on the new character, divided any way you choose (including all 30 on one
attribute.)

OOPS... Also, you can only choose skill levels in blocks of 10, so 10/10/10, 10/20, or
30. However, Command rank, (as long as the naming character has some) is irrelevant.

But remember that 725 costs 2x what the others do, that is, 10K per
character named, not the usual 5K.

For example, you can do a 725 order with 10 Com 20 Agent or 15 Com 15 Agent
(or any other combination with 10 minimum (or 0) and 30 maximum in a stat).

The 725 order can be issued by any Commander (10-100), and will net you 30

Mike

Certainly, but it'll cost 10K instead of 5K. Usually if one wants
to name an A30, E30, or M30, one finds another character of the same
class to 728/731/734/737; it's cheaper. Of course, especially at the
beginning of the game, you may not have one of those classes around
and have to use the 725 order.
