I can see this being very nice for the players to have an final picture, but wouldn't this be alot of work for ME, especially if its a long game.
It can take ages to import all those xml's, just for one side.

It would seem to me, realistically, that it wouldnt take all that much time. I mean, assuming the xmls are kept, kept in organized folders. It should take perhaps 2 minutes to generate the files necessary, but the question is, do you just do the last turn? the entire game? and how do you send it? I see the "OK I got the file, now what..." being the big one...that could be a pretty big email, and may actually exceed attachment restrictions on some email servers...
Although I would love to see the whole game, I am thinking that they
are only refering to importing the last turns information.
I personally would love to see any complete picture possible (either
all or just the last turn).

Note it would just be the map. Not that big a file and we could send it out. We'd have to have permission from the players to do this though.

Since you're not giving out any player details, why would you be asking them
for permission? Giving out the end map would be like given out a game report
or Rumours from the Front in Flagship, no?

With
permission from the players in the game, yes I would
be interested in seeing the map
