Istari Rating

I'm all in favor of keeping the game the way it is also. The purpose of the random VCs--which hardly anyone understands--was to present temptation to the over greedy, over ambitious and under foresighted. They are there to give us moral choices.

I don't care how you impliment the VCs, I'm against it. They reward bad
play and punish good play. They add a goal other than, "have fun". At
least in the old days they were just used for first choice of setup and
published once in a mag people had to pay to get. Now, they'll be compiled
game after game, listed constantly on the web site, emailed out once a
month. We get to have a list of poor players shoved in our face as if they
are somehow the best players in the game.

Let it go. Bad idea, can't be fixed. Keep the game the way it is.
