Fasthosts who are the people who provide us with our servers, have changed the way they do things. We’re bringing out a new update to JO so that you can send orders in again.
For now the simple workaround is that when you save your turn, eg me01v1.065 (where 01 is your nation v X is the version number and .065 is the game number) you can attach and send that file in directly.
Thanks for your forbearance.

Turn-based gaming at its best
I'd like to put forth that several of the ship-related SNA's make no sense to take, but many players don't seem to realize that. And newer players are disadvantaged by not being able to understand why. I've seen too many nations start with these SNA's and my heart always sinks for them (and for me, if they are allies )
For example, ships at half timber costs 1000. Instead of taking this SNA, you can start with 4 ships for the same 1000 points. And it isn't until you've used more than 6000 timber to build ships that you start taking advantage of the SNA. (This is because 6000 timber builds 4 ships at full cost, 8 ships at 1/2 cost, if you start with 4 without the SNA that is 8 either way.) As many of us know, there is little likelihood of being able to spare 6000 timber for shipbuilding, let along significantly more so you can really take advantage of the SNA.
Similarly for the SNA for 4-strength and 5-strength warships, being able to start with 4 or 8 extra warships instead of the SNA is often superior. The additional ships not only add to your offense but also to your navy's constitution.
(In a team game, it may make sense for one nation to take cheaper shipbuilding if the plan is to build ships for everyone.)
And of course, not only are you possibly getting a worse result than just taking extra ships, but you are using up an SNA slot.
My purpose in writing this is to raise everyone's awareness so that no one takes any of these SNA's without fully realizing the choice they are making and just what they are really getting. Especially the less experienced players. And yes, I think the cost of those SNA's should be in the 100's, not 1000's, and instead of 1/2 (or 1/3) shipbuilding, make it more like 1/4 and 1/6 or even more.
Respectfully,
Jeremy
