Hoping that all our fellow gamers on the Isle across the Lake are all ok???

Ditto, hope all you and your loved ones are safe.

What happened?

  • Steve M.

Poor taste to ask such a question.

Best wishes to the people of the Isles.

Steve, i guess you didn`t hear;

A series of terrorist bombings in central London have left at least 50 dead and 700 wounded. I guess that news aint so important over the pond??? Truth be told i think it was long expected and people here are determined not to give into such threats against our way of life. We have a history of being threatened by terror and war. I for one am only made more determined–bloody minded perhaps–to continue as normal when threatened by criminals like Al-Qaeda or whichever minority fanatical group has done these things. Of course, living 300 miles from the incidents makes it easier to be angry and defiant, but most of us will know someone who lives in London. it`s no surprise the mobile phone lines were full to capacity and jammed yesterday.

You are a very odd person if you think showing no compassion for events happening to others is better than inquiring after their well-being.

No, I am not the kind of person who reads the news much until spurred to do so. It’s too easy to become overwhelmed.

i[/i] Grr.

On the contrary, now having a reason to look at the news, I see it is positively splattered all over the place here. Judge not my countrymen based solely upon my hermitic quirks.

That would be typical of our Mother Country, of course.

I am at a loss of what to say except to echo the sentiments issued previously on this thread. Best wishes and heartfelt empathy to all our friends in the UK.

No, CNN covered it until midnight when I went to bed. It was the only news on cable for the most part. Not mention every major web site that carried news.

Your country survived the Blitz in WWII so I would expect a grim resolve to this mass homcide. My prayers are with your countrymen though I am but one.

No, you are not alone in this.

We are with you folks wholeheartedly in solidarity.
Everyone wants peace, but I will quote Peter Tosh when I say there can be no peace without equal rights and justice.
May Justice be brought to those guilty, by all means needed.
You are in our prayers and concerns.
