I was just curious about other kill totals and per turn averages for players in other games. I am just about to finish a game as the CL, and I currently have 92 kills in 36 turns, for an average of just over 2 1/2 kills a turn. At peak, I had 1 small agent artifact, and one small stealth artifact to aid my cause.
I am curious to see how my performance rates up against other games and other players.
In 230 (back in the Deft Days) I had 52 in 26 turns. But, the longer the game goes, you will get ALOT more. I was killing 5-6 per turn the last 4-5 turns.
Like you, most of these kills were without assistance, before we really started dumping all our team artifacts on the CL. A good grudge team should make their CL very lethal in the first 4-5 turns. (In my opinion)
I have to admit, that game as the CL was in my top 2-3 favorite games/positions. (Probably right behind my FK experience a few games later.)
Can anyone name the difference in comparing your personal victory points, the amount of kills in a game or the size of your ****?
I mean… its mighty impressive with all those kills, I’m just wondering why you didn’t get any help from your team members (Sharing their agent artifacts with your), or why you didn’t make any kidnaps in the game. All those hostages surely would have hurt your enemy’s more, but then again they don’t get counted on your turn sheet as kills, do they?
see it this way: those who still need to brag with VP and suchlike haven’t yet reached the highest level of MEPBMing, the pure essence and clear state of mind - like playing Northmen three times and still smile when DinOthar visits your capital
besides, there might be children reading this, so I must ask you to refrain from BAD LANGUAGE…
To some extent you are correct, I probably should have kidnapped more as I have only one hostage myself.
To defend myself and my teammates however, I will say that we were disadvantaged by at least 3 nations from about turn 10 on, and to be perfectly honest, I have always heard that kidnapping is more difficult then assassinating. In addition, close to 50% of my kills were either armies or characters that entered Mordor, I was not willing to risk even a few percentage points on the chance that an army would advance deeper into our heartland.
Under more even sided circumstances, perhaps I would have kidnapped more, but when your team is fighting every turn for their very existence in Middle Earth, every inch you can sustain helps in my opinion.
Could I have played the position better? Could we have done better as a team? Certainly so, but considering that none of us had ever played together before, and some players were new to MEPBM the end result will still be a hard earned DS victory, and that truly is the only thing that really matters.
We haven’t played this game for victory points etc. !
We’re really happy that we’ve won it !
Sometimes you haven’t bet a penny on the victory of the DS !
CL has done a great job and I don’t know why you’re telling me he has done it for victory-points.
You’ll get some points for the most kills, but I think it doesn’t matter if you kill one ore one hundred !
Other team-members killed also a lot fo freps-chars.
It’s interesting that I haven’t got an information about the number of my kills.
The sentence " Ritual character terminations " doesn’t exist on my result-sheet.
Per, you’re pretty right with the kidnapping of characters.
Sometimes it hurts more because you’re not able to chreate a new char, sometimes you don’t have the gold to build new chars especially when you’re losing more than one per turn and nation ( this counts for the kills ).
