Kin Strife

Gentlemen, here is my proposal for the forthcoming Kin Strife module:

The Company eliminate an accretion on the GSI inheritance. Namely its
helpful nature. Now I know, The Company is proud of its services. But
in effect they are providing a competency floor. The less able are
partly rasied towards the level of the most competent.

Perhaps The Company is a member of the 'helping society'. You know, the
people who erode self reliance Why become self-sufficiet when there is
someone who can assist?

Are you a pooor proooofer? Not to worry, the GM will proof your turn for
you.

Always late to meetings and have trouble with deadlines? The Company
will send you a reminder and maybe even hold the run of a game for a
couple of hours.

Can't retain, sort or prioritize information? So inundated with data you
are unsure what is important? Thankfully, a number of IT programs can do
that for you.

Befuddled by the fog-of-war, confused by riddles, uncertain of artifact
abilities? The Company's web site can help.

Unsure of things generally? For Heaven's sake don't experiment and learn
from experience. Ask the GM, he is there to help.

The world is full of sly, preditory and manipulative persons. The
Company will protect you as best they can.

Espionage is part of the business/political world. The company
discourages it.

In my view the 1650 game has been eroded by The Company. It was not
their intent, but was fallout from the 'law of unanticipated
consequences'. They don't have to make that mistake again. We have BOFA
for the newbies who can then progress to the trunkated 1650. To progess
further will require more than new riddles, which will be compromised.
The Company is going to have to acknowlwde that helpfulness has a flip
side. The Kin Strife could be a game for elite players---if The company
is not anxious to help.
Ed Mills

BOOOORRRIIINNNNGGGG.

For gods sake Ed. give it a rest...

It a game to be enjoyed...

In turns, I have been angry at Ed Mills, laughed at him, pitied him
and been totally perplexed by his pathetic solo crusade.

In the end all I can be bothered to do is dismiss him completely.

Ed - go away. Get over it. Nobody cares.

Colin.
