You might want to check with the GM’s about this, but unless its a team game the set-ups are done separately before the names of team-mates are given out so that there is no co-ordination in setup. This makes it fair to both sides since there are similar options for the Line of Eldacar.
That said I might well be playing in the game … and I might well be on the Usurper side.
I had not heard that we could not confer with people. If it was there I missed it.
Just I hadn’t played this scenario and this is the first time I have seen where a nation can give stuff away before the game even begins, so it kinda begs for a bit of discussion. I know that I joined this game with a friend, and I know that the other side has a few people that have played together.
For example I can give someone of another nation additional mage rank… well it would just seem like a horrible plan to give someone +10 mage only to find out they put no effort in gaining more magery for themselves.
I sort of agree, but I’d check with Rob first as I wouldn’t want to bend any rules. There are nations that will tend to have good mages, though you can’t guarantee it. I’m Witch Realm (Nation 16) by the way.
By the way (as an aside) having mages in KS is much more advantages than in Fourth Age. Tracking NPCs and Artifacts is very useful as well as reveal pop centre.
Yep you can AFTER your first turn, unless you are joining with those specific players that you’ve mentioned in your start-up sheet (or told me). Those ones you can discuss with.
