late turns

I'm confused....The turn is DUE on one day, but not
"run" until the next day...and there is still the
possibility of being "late".....

I received a message today chastising me for having
a couple characters out of order with my turn, that
was early in the morning, here it is 5:00 the day
AFTER my turn was "due" (due on a Sunday...?) and I
have finally received my long suffering message from
the company, and it is only 1k instead of 90k or so,
and it is telling me that a couple of gumps haven't
figured it out yet........

I have been ignoring the other thread of messages
regarding Late turns, trying to be fair and contact
everyone, etc....which means the others suffer, but
my question I suppose that has spurned this griping,
is:

How long will it be before "Tough" ?

I keep seeing mention of "2 week period". I think it
was more than 2 weeks between the first time I saw this
and the last time I saw this......

Regards,

Brad Brunet for all the players who just want to know
when to send 'em in, and when they're comin' back.....

I question whether some of these turns are "late" at all. This past
week I sent in my turn on Friday afternoon (EST) but didn't get
notification that it was received by Harlequin until Sunday
afternoon, the day it was due. If the Net had killed, or stalled, my
email I would not have known it until Monday morning. Do I need to
submit my turns three days before the due date? Four days?

It might be helpful to have an automated, immediate reply to turn
submission.

OK, the autoresponse is sent when Clint or Stuart opens the email

as for G318? my pity level for late turns in that game is now nil.
We are in a one week game and everyone should have been on board
after the last turn was run

Players asked for an update should turns be delayed - I put this out in the
hope that the late players will egt their turns in - they have 12 hours or
so to get the their turn in usually. We process at 10am onwards the day
after the due date.

Pardon?

I don't really know why players are not getting their turns in on time. No
real reason as far as I can see. There will be minor adjustment of turn
around dates so that we can organise the games properly. Eg Get games with
postal players in the middle of the week that sort of thing.

Yep - some players have asked for an extra day - some players are just
players - ie will get their turns in late. Basically it's the DGE games
that are delayed - the UK games are fine. Not sure why this is the case
now. TO be careful rather than get games to lose players due to some
misunderstanding we have to risk the annoyance of a days delay (more like
12hours in most cases) so that we can contact the lates. So for example the
3 games mentioned at the top of the email will be run as per normal MEPBM
rules - ie the day after the deadline.

Send them dor the due Date - then if a player makes a mistake we can help
out or try to contact you if we get time if the turn is "going to be" late.

Yes we're looking into this - I normally log on during the weekend but took
Saturday off - the first day off in around a month.

C

I concur - no idea why - basically next turn runs at 10am or close enough on
the Monday.
