late turns

I don't understand the fuss. I'm from oz (the .au
address on the email address might have given it
away). I had a due date of the 21/1/2001 on the last
turn, but since i'm from oz I sent my turnsheets on MY
22/1/2001, and figured that it would OK (I was too
busy laughing over who Clinton pardoned to be able to
work on my orders). I'll find out soon if it worked,
but I expect it has.

My understanding is that the orders are due on the
22/1/2001 based on Welsh date. Then on the day AFTER
this the GM's collute all the turnsheets and process
the orders.

I think different timezones would be causing some
confusion here (bloody science - I say the UN vote to
make 9am be 9am regardless of where you are. None of
this 9am is 10am or 4pm depending on so called
time-zones that no one has seen in real life).

Why have a due date when it isn't...?? Especially
with the 1 week games. The due date is the due
date,
and on the due date, the turns are put into the
program, and then sent out when done. Simple and
fair.

I don't think that would work. Technically I would
send in orders at 11.59pm on the due date and since
they arrived on the date that the orders are due, they
should be accepted.

So the GM need to process the orders on the NEXT date.
Since they don't work at midnight, they process the
orders during normal working hours on the next date. I
could then sneak in some orders on that date, and hope
my order are accepted.

Especially for us NAmericans.....we have to have the
turns submitted, essentially, the night BEFORE the
"due date" and then get our results some time, 2
days
later...or 3 if they go back on their written word
and
wait an extra day for the 1 week games.....4 day
game?

Ah well, bugs and problems etc. Not expecting
anyone
to have thought of everything before hand.

Whats to thing of ? Harly hasn't changed how it runs
their games, it just that Deft and Harly has different
procedures on when the final cut-off is allowed. Harly
gives people the full 24 hours on the due-date to send
in orders.

Just

hoping to see the problems that arise dealt with
effectively. Especially in this game, I already
lost
a turn because of the whole transition and Sunday
due
date (I still want an explanation for that...)

The transition (like christmas breaks) pushed
everything back a week ???

conflicting with my out-of country vacation.
Starting
to get bitter. Oh yeah, I also overran an army in
this
game..........but didn't....what next?

What did the other side said to the overrun ?

thanks

p.s I'm part of the 97% that believes nasa didn't land
on the moon. I know the moon landing is fake since I
pointed my torch at the moon, and I didn't get
anything reflected back from the so-called mirrors
that the astro-nots claim to have left behind.

pps well maybe I didn't, but it gives us something
else to argue over.

ppps And I think God caused the oil spill to get back
at Darwin
