Latest Bree

THE FUTURE OF MIDDLE EARTH - 28% price increase!!!!!!!!

I know the Labour Government swear by spin but I hadn't realised it had
infected ME Games. Did you think nobody would notice?

I know you guys are not exactly living in the lap of luxury and may even
have a good arguement for raising prices more than ten times the UK rate of
inflation (+5% for paying by credit card) but dressing it up as some kind of
Great Leap Forward is a trifle irritating! Perhaps you should branch out
into Pension mis-selling.

Added to that was an article about the dread PRS. As before, I utterly
oppose it but happily accept others right to participate on an OPT IN basis.
All those who want a PRS can have it whilst all of us who don't, won't. The
system proposed seems as good as any other so off you go. I am sure Clint
would happily advertise it with a 'join the Middle Earth Champions League'
line and there is obviously some desire for it out there.

Not the best Bree then, though it LOOKS really good.

Chris Courtiour

Bree?

Where'd you get a copy of Bree? I've been waiting
for the latest Bree since Christmas...have I been
missing them...?

Glad to hear that too - maybe it's also having problems getting across the
severn Bridge.

Looking forward to receiving it.

Cheers

So I won't be the only one daring to criticise it this time then?

One big howling error, which made me wince - the second article "War of the Ring - Two Views on this New Scenario", is two articles cobbled together, but the eager cobbler has failed to understand that Richard and Marc are writing about two DIFFERENT scenarios. "War of the Ring" and "Last Alliance" are totally different. The first is 2950 with boosted pops, the second has whole new nations. They are both creations from the strange mind of Richard Devereux, but if you read the articles, it actually sounds as if the maestro was playing IcK LoR and Woo. WotR was game 29, and it's rematch is 228. LA was, I think 45 or 46.

The thing that bothers me is that the price is staying the same for people
using the order input programs. Now, unless the promised "stand-along
program" has been Done Right and is in Java or in some other way
cross-platform, the order input options are Windows or Windows, and those of
us with grown-up operating systems are left in the wilderness to pay extra :frowning:

Tim.
