I don't remember the details, but I was signed onto this list by
the "powers that be" so I don't have a password nor does Yahoo
have any extra information, unless Harlequin violated the
Data Protection Act (which I very much doubt!).
I prefer to leave it that way since I already get enough crap as
it is. Speaking of which... if one of my former teammates
provided my email address to a Spanish mailing list you're
forever on my hitlist! The only contact I have ever had with
Spanish speakers is through MEPBM, ever since when I have
been receiving all sorts of Spanish junk. Tsk.

Well, you belong to this list, which means Yahoo has all the
info it's
going to have on you already. It doesn't get anything
additional when
you respond to a poll. (And I doubt very much that
telemarketers would
care much one way or the other how people feel about
As I recall, to become a "full" member (i.e. access to the list's session and features in yahoogroups) of yahoogroups you need to create a yahoo.com email. True, you'll get tons of spam, but they'll all go to your *brand new* yahoo address, not to the address you actually use.
I have two email addresses registered in yahoogroups (besides the yahoo.com one), and though I am registered in some 14 lists and use their features (polls, upload area) regularly, both of them are pretty much spam-free. My yahoo address is flooded senseless with spam, but since the only thing it gets besides spam is dust and cobwebs, it's no hindrance at all.

Rodrigo

My yahoo id is my regular MEPBM email, and between all the players,
a yahoogroup for every game, and this one, I get virtually no
spam. There is nothing to worry about within this community,
go elsewhere at your own risk.
And, can't you simply sign up as Bugs Bunny if you have such
strident personal privacy issues? So much scorn, so unnecessary.
