Oh dear, we have a hardened cynic in our midst!
This christmas ? I gave up waiting when it was October 2000. I will be
seeing it at the movies, and then buying the video even if its as bad as
highlander 2, but i'm not counting down the days. And Part 1? When is
part 2 due then ? I expected both parts to be released as once.
I hope it won't be like the animated LoTR which only have part 1.
Given the budget and cast (Cate Blanchett, Ian McKellen, Liv Tyler,
Christopher Lee etc) it's almost certainly going to be better than
Highlander 2! The film is being made in three parts along the same lines
as the book. Obviously the whole thing would be an enormous film if
released all at once, so this seems a good idea to me.
When filming has been going for several months already, the cast is
largely known (with some pretty big names), I'm curious as to why you
are so cynical?
