actually it made me think about my account balance.
I put in $ 200 aud when I first joined, as i'm on a set-and-forget thing
when it comes to paying for my turns. I think i'm still OK, but ....
In Oz we use to see the account balance on your turnsheet, so I would notice
it every time I looked at my turn.
Clint puts the account details on another page. I don't save this page since
who I really don't care about having a permanent log of which of my allies
got SSed or not (and valar only knows what the bottom bit about other games
is all about). Since I delete emails quite a lot, I'm left with my memory of
how much money I have left.
Maybe Clint can put a message on our turnsheets if we have less than 1 or 2
turns left in our account ? Just a message saying 'low account' would be a
reminder to us.
thanks
m
p.s Maybe the majority of the players pay with a credit card ?

As yours is the only comment then I think we have dealt with
that issue.
Lots of these LF were credit card payers.

Noe we have around 1/4 play by credit card I think.
The account sheet was created (b4 our time) to have a list of contacts, Gm
messages and an up to date account system. i think it works very well. It
also gives you a total of the amount of funds needed for your next set of
turns.

I save each turnsheet .pdf as a new file. I save the cover sheet .pdf
under the file name under which Clint sends it - it therefore over-
writes the old one, in the file for each game. Doesn't take up too much
space. You may find that helps.

But you started this thread by saying you have just had 20(?) on low
funds!
Perhaps when you chase these, you need to evaluate WHY they become low
funds:
1) The customers are tight fisted b*st*rds, who enjoy risking the Dread
Special Service, and like to leave payment to the last possible minute.
2) Your system for reminding people of when to pay does NOT justify your
satisfaction above, because it's not working.
I sent my cheque off in a panic on Saturday, when you stared this
thread, and I found my own credit to be less than 5. M.Peters, who is
I think the only other respondent to this thread, also casts doubt on
your system's effectiveness.

Yep but we get players to pay most of the time. The ones who don't stop
playing...
Generally #1 as it appears that players leave it to the last to check out
their turn, do it, realise low funds and send a cheque.
