Hi Brad, you have the last version which Alex made before he moved on to other things. The error message you have is "out of system resources", and probably means that it is unhappy with your screen resolution. Try changing it. (Rt click yr desktop, and click "properties")
I've been using 4.06 on my older laptop for a while with no problems, but can't seem to get it going on my desktop - system resource error, or something like that (it's in something germanic, but I don't want to be presumptuous). Anyone have any ideas? I've been using the version downloaded from Bobbin's site.

That's odd, because I've helped several people on this over the years, and that has always been the answer. Is it definitely the system resources message you're getting? It says something approximately like "systemresourchen" in the error message.
If it is, the usual answer is to change your screen resolution - not specifically the size - to 16 bit colour I think in Windows 95 or 98, though I'm struggling to remember exactly, as I'm now in Windows XP, and that seems to cope with it fine in highest resolution.
The program is memory hungry, so if changing the resolution does not help, it may be that you have too many other programs running or something.
If you are getting a different error, " ist nein un integer" (roughly) being the usual one, the cause is an illegal character in one of your data files. " ist nein un integer" means <space> is not an integer - you've got an extra carriage return on the end of a file. ", ist nein un integer" is a bit more helpful as it tells you you've got a comma in there - you can have anything you like in the notes field of the pops file, but not punctuation. "---" and "???" are used in the 3rd field for no owner and unknown owner, but _only_ in the third field.
