Magazines in North America

I agree with Charles -- online may be the best bet --
and there must be a worthwhile spot to draw from the
millions of gaming and Tolkien fans.

Torvanus' ideas about that are excellent:
- auction a map or rulebook on Ebay each week, at
related interest sites like Magic the Gathering.
- advertise online at Everquest-ish and other MMORPG
sites.

Now to open a big can of worms: is the "Play-by-Mail"
description unfairly driving away potential players?

In the Internet age, "Play-by-Mail" sounds outdated,
when it's actually a terrific solution for a modern
world: play a few hours a week (er, or more...) but do
it on your own time without finding the world has
changed beneath you during your weekend vacation.

What would be a better name for PBM?

We generally describe it as Play by Email gaming - or strategic turn based wargaming based in the world of Middle Earth. We'll do the on-line bit as well but are also looking for Mags.
