Hi,
My opinions:
Any multi class including Mage is a waste.
Agreed, except for start-up CM's, naming CM's is a a waste of time unless one allies
can spend loads of dough naming10 A's or better 10 E's to challenge the CM for they
won't be advancing in levels anytime soon. Putting arties on the CM might as well be
better put on higher level Comms and Mages who can make better use of them. However
startup CM's will make the most powerful PC chars.
Any multi with a high level commander is likely to be a waste.
Wrong. Late game it can become useful. Consider a C60+/E60+, want to to kill off my
army with agents, better send more because I'm gonna double at least one.
Anyway it all depends on the scenario and as a friend once said, any char with Comm
skill is useful.
Multi-C's with more than two skill types however will never use the third or fourth
skill type, and no one should ever consider trainning a char in more than 2 skill
class. True for all multis.
The best multis are therefore:
10 Com 20 Agent (recruit and guard)
10 Com 20 Emmy (recruit and inf)
20 Agent 10 Emmy (guard and inf)
There are few exceptions for this, generally startup AE will become immensely useful
in companies later on but I would never consider naming one and trying to build up.
The two skills can conflict, agents works best on enemy pop ctrs, emmies need to
train on own pop ctrs, so initially the trainning of an AE is tedious.
10 Com 10 Agent 10 Emmy (a company leader late game)
Like I said, triples & quadraples are meaningless char maint costs. A10 CAE to me
has one use, to do all the misc orders in the capital and to name C10's for company
leader & E10's to train up friendly mages. Later game as you said.
Am I missing any multi types?
