Mages from Sam (player)

hah hah definately! b.e. this wouldn't have been something you said
long ago in the Oz 4th age game 1? Or did you just forget to name some
commanders in your setup? (don't answer...)

When you ask b.e. not to answer, ...

Hey, I had 3 Comms, how was I supposed to know that's not enough for FA games ? I
definately never anticipated all three dead by T2 or was it T3 ?, 2 by PC, and one
by Assasination. Still haven't learnt exactly when to issue 215 orders, :(.

Btw, it was meant to be a char based nation (albeit a very flawed design, I'm
afraid). Even so playing a char game, I couldn't play a game without Comms, I lack
the patience of M (this statement is very contradictory, mine u, equating M with the
virtue of patience) to wait twenty plus turns for a position to drop and grab the
Comms.

Like I said, triples & quadraples are meaningless char maint costs.

A10 CAE to me

has one use, to do all the misc orders in the capital and to name

C10's for company

leader & E10's to train up friendly mages. Later game as you said.

who needs a multi for that? just get yourself a 10 point comm flat.
Most nations do at least 1 sell a turn so there's 50% of his/her's
orders done. And they only cost you 200 gold a turn in maintenance.
Not a bad buy! Especially for the Rhu!

A CAE 10/10/10 still has combined ranks of 30. A pure C10 is said to make enemy
agents laugh in glee. Of course, if you don't mind one slot being hogged, cheap
maint, could be worth it.

IMHO only DS and elves go for multies, the rest is just baggage  -
of course, everyone loves them (they are sooooo nice to look at!) but
are they worth it?

Stags.

Well, I think the elves think they are worth it, they do go for superficial beauty.

But everytime I look at chars like Elrond, Cirdan, Galadriel, Aragorn, etc, I can
only shake my head, especially in 2950. Maybe I don't know what to do with them.
Anyone with pointers ?

Otherwise I think Multis are good only for the 2950 & FA scenarios and the DS in
1650 who couldn't afford as many chars sometimes or to specialise. (watam I saying,
maybe some horseshit someone naive will buy ?, :))
