magic 5th turn

From: "GearonSkywalker" <garyaswegan@yahoo.com>

I was just curious if anyone had noticed a trend of CHARs becoming
easier to pick up around the magic 5th turn...

Is it 5 turns that characters disappear? Like magic? I haven't seen this being challenged, except cryptically by myself earlier. Personally, I'm hesitant to believe it's 5. I have no concrete evidence, but have this feeling that I've seen characters stick around longer.

How long does it take for a character to no longer be from his original nation, but from "the Unknown" also?

Regards,

Brad

RD: I agree with Brad, I don't think there is a "magic 5th turn." The rulebook says something to the effect that characters from an eliminated nation hang around for a -random- length of time, but not very long in any case. So it might be 5 turns, it might be a bit longer, or it might be as few as 3.

Richard.

In a cerain game that Clint is playing in, the BS were eliminated
quite early on, by their own incompetance they went bankrupt. It is
now some considerable turns later and BS mages still appear on
scouts, only difference being that unrecruited BS characters show no
nationality.
