I’m not a Mac user, but I’m in a game with a newbie who is. Does anyone out there have trouble getting palantir/Joverseer/Automagic to run on a Mac?
I have a grown-up’s computer, so I don’t know how to fix this problem.

No help from me. Maybe Suraklin can help. He seems to be extremely knowledgable. Maybe shoot him a message and he’ll get an email notification.
Automagic can be used on Macs and has a seperate download for it. Have your friend make sure he downloaded the correct version. I have an adult computer myself so I can not tell you how well it works on Macs. As far as I know the others you named are all Windows based. But, as long as his Mac is not older than 2006, you can run most Windows programs. You would need to install a copy of Windows obviously but, once you did, you can either use Boot Camp to boot into Windows or else boot into Windows at startup. I hope this helps you Rich.

Thanks for the tips! I passed this on, and hopefully we can get it worked out.
Meanwhile, I see you’re playing IK in 225. Here’s wishing you the worst of luck! <g>
Harbqll, are you in 225?
It’s entirely possible.
Then I would suspect that your Mac wielding newbie buddy is as well? Does that Mac glow blue when orcs are around?
I can noither confoim nor denoi that at this toim.
I use JOverseer on a Mac and it works just fine as it’s Java based. The native OSX unzip program may cause you problems as it unpacks joverseer.jar. But I did get it running in the end. It’s an invaluable tool!
