Market limit?

OK. I know that the market limit goes up as the game goes on, but I just
had a nation sell 68000 gold worth of a single commodity in a single
order. Clearly the limit goes up further than I had thought possible.

Anyone else experience this kind of severely inflated limit?

Never. There has been some other strange events happening lately.

No. I've never experienced it going any higher than
around 25,000. However, I mainly play 2950. 1650 is
probably different.

I've heard from long-timers that they've seen 100k+, even 1mm+ market
limits.

It's just a function of the market algorithm (which, to be complete, is
believed to be "decoupled" from food prices, but otherwise a reflection
of the _total_ economic situation, e.g. cash on hand, market supplies,
tax revenue - remember, as the game goes on, there's more cash as more
pcs are improved - etc.).

Is there a highly developed pop base (across all
nations) in the game? Is it late in the game?
