Max possible loss of health?

Hi there

Does anyone have experience of having a character with 100 health DIE from casting 2 hard spells?

Thanks
Mike

The one and only time I tried it (path mastery and reveal pop) I lost 95 health points. Might be some fluctuations. To timid to try it again.

95 health all 3 times i tried it also.

You guys must have a lot of bad luck… I’ve cast both curses and LAT on the same turn with only 40-60% health loss.

Ulrik

Perhaps the health loss depends on mage rank?
Or degree of success in casting?

Would be interesting to learn what the relevant ranks were.

For the record I had a 70(95) mage cast fast stride + reveal pop center in the same turn and lost…55 health I think. I’ll dig up my pdf later to see what the casting rank was.

Don’t you think the more likely situation here is that Ed and Brad are pulling Mike’s leg?

I may be being misled here  but on the other hand, fast stride is an average spell. Kind of makes sense that 2 hard spells = more health loss than 1 hard 1 average

Nope, not me. Nimrodel in one game cast LAT and Curses, lost 95 health. Did it again a few turns later once she was well again, same result. Meriot did an LAT and whatever that top movement spell is and lost 95 also. Every time I’ve cast 2 spells of lesser rank, I’ve always lost distinctive amounts of health (0’s or 5’s). All my experience tells me it’s a set amount, but if Ulrik get’s a random amount, hmmmm…
Ed’s trepidation is wise enough, though. Rule of thumb: you take chances, common sense dictates many of them and if the result sucks, say “dammit!” and move on. Certainly don’t cast ANY 2 spells if your at the front or suspect foul play within the vicinity…

Brad “Honestly!” Brunet

I’ve done it once and lost 60 health, and I wouldn’t hesistate to do it again if need be. Ideally though I like to avoid situations where I have to cast two spells per turn.

There you have it, Mike, all over the map. Try it and let us know what happened.

I did a LAT and Curses one time and lost 60.

So, Mike, what happened?
