ME 78 Turn 3

Quiet turn.

Rhudaur goes DS, the Dog Lord has a MT in the Eoplex, Cardolan and Arthedain run amok in Angmar, the DS notch up their first assassinations but fail to reveal Imladris or do any damage in Cerin Amroth, the Eothraim FINALLY make it into Mordor, the Corsairs and Harad seem to have a score to settle, the QA prepares to settle in more temerate climes and the dwarves prepare to soften up the Dragon Lord.

Let’s hope next turn’s more interesting…

I wouldnt be so proud of the Eothraim, he is gonna die screaming like all his other armies, except this time its the BS who gets the honour of spanking him. And the stumpies better look over their shoulders because I feel a chill coming…

Please! No! Not… a chill.

Like the one that breifly inconvenienced the Sinda? It was almost insultingly feeble.

Still, the dwarves can warm themselves up again when we torch Dol Guldur.

Bring on turn 4.

No Im more talking about the incompetence of your Eothraim player not taking Thuringwhatost let alone reaching it. Im certain he will excel at losing Pops atleast…

Nice play at Goblin Gate too, I mean two elven armies cant get it together enough to take the major town?? WHat makes you think we worry abut Dol Guldur?

Give my best to Waulfa…

HOWL HOWL HOWL !!!

Eothraim into Mordor?? are you sure you are playing 78 ?? don’t think so, This turn the last of his armies will be crushed and use 4800 Cavalries juts to kill LR army is quite … ineficient.
Yes … the first kill, but not the last !!!

<Eothraim into Mordor?? are you sure you are playing 78 ?? don’t think so

I’m puzzled, Ricard: Does the Eorthraim have, at this time, an army in Mordor? Yes or no?

But hey - I never made any claims as to its longevity.

Well, at least we’re getting some chatter going on for 78. It was too quiet here for awhile. Eerie.

Nightsbane? Can I call you the Naughty Nighty? You know, with that silly green face, the silly comment about the knife, AND the silly signature line, I almost wondered if it was an intentional self-caricature. Oooh golly you sure are scary. Go to the dictionary and look up “cliche”, greenie.

You may beat us, Naughty Nighty, but after all, it is widely known that the Freeps are underdogs in this game, given the prevalence of knowledge these days about the dragon encounters. We’ll try to make it interesting for you. Of course, if WE win, then who’s incompentent Greenie?

See you on the battlefield, Naughty Nighty.

S Gondor, ME 78

Wow Nice Guy…

Lets see you cant win so you instead turn to tactics insulting my name my sig and my icon? Are you 12? If all you can do is whine and say how the DS are overpowered we have super characters…whine whine whine, do both our side and yours a favour and just drop…atleast gingerprince talks about the game…and other things relative to the game…

P.S. If you think my icon and information is cliche…I think its you who needs the dictionary…stick with the game taunts…because outside…your out of your league son…

Dear Nitsbane:
Bit early to be forecasting the winner of the game, isn’t it? And are you one of the Servs who is actually doing something, or just the biggest mouth on the team? The LR has been de-fanged, and is left to play the character game (which he is well-equipped to do, but losing all of his cav makes the East far more secure, and it’s just a damn shame about that navy…), you’re at a dead stop at the Pass, and as for Thuringwathost, what FP in their right mind wants to take Thuringwathost? You can never hold the darn place, it just eats troops, and it has very poor restroom facilities. At least Ricard’s posts have a little style (not to mention better English), and I can see him accomplishing something. You, on the other hand, just seem to want to foam at the mouth. Why don’t you let the grown-ups talk, we’ll get back to you, okay?

Mark
Noldo

I by no means think the game is over nor is it our win. As far as the biggest mouth, hardly…I was simply retorting to some braggard on the free side who was quite wrong. As for the navy loss of the LR its bad luck, kind of the bad luck you had threathening Goblin Gate, better luck next time. Im certain the LR is content losing his calvary having taken out over 5000 Eothraim through his actions. Not a bad trade at all, but then the LR isnt losing Pop centers like the Eothraim right?
As for having done nothing…Im still waiting to see you accomplish something productive, like I said…5000 dead is pretty good for one nation, make even a scratch then you start talking pointy ear.

Nightsbane, which nation are you playing? You seem to have forgotten to mention it so far. Your carefully thought out, constructive criticism of the Eothraim has been most helpful, and we would clearly like to return the favour.

I’m sure you are capable of playing whichever nation you are running with such flawless genius that you won’t mind for a moment telling us, so we can give you the acclaim you no doubt merit.

Don’t be shy…

Thank you for the compliment but I have certainly never played flawlessly, and this game so far is a perfect example of it…

As for who I am, what does it matter? We are all on a team and thats what counts.
In regards to my comments on the Eothraim, its not criticism, its simply the vanilla brand taunting that happens in the game, I sincerely doubt he meant to lose all those troops, but hey one pokes where they can right? If you or your other teammates take it so personally as to make personal non-game related jabs, then perhaps you shouldnt be posting here, altho thus far you are the only one gingerprince, to keep the taunts in game. And for this I thank you…good luck on turn 4

Nightsbane the shifty

UOHHHHHHHHHHH !!!

Hi there from Barcelona (Catalonia, EUROPE) Not To War.

MMMM well I’m trying to do my best, but don’t worry … with a couple of turns and a little bit of luck you’ll see what a foolish Catalan can do!! (Specially to Elves :stuck_out_tongue: )

Jur jur jurrrrr we’ll see what happens this turn!!

May the Stealth Bonus be with me

I’m on the ds team and even I don’t know who Nightsbane is!
So far it’s a very interesting game with some new tactics. First time I’ve seen the Eothraim commit so much to Mordor’s back door, but what about the idea of going off map? To lose all of your starting armies is a little careless. Then the Dog Lord lands 3000 cavalry on Buhr Aligra. Ouch, that’s got to hurt. Meanwhile the Dark Lieutenants are going bankrupt, hasn’t lost a battle yet, sorry hasn’t faught a battle yet and still paying for all of those troops. A small battle in Osgiliath should see his costs reduce this turn. Meanwhile the QA attack Southern Gondor and suddenly SG find themselves with two fronts to fight. Sinda capital revealed and if it wasn’t for the pressing matter of revealing Imladris Thranduil would have been cursed out last turn. Never mind plenty of time to sort out the ds cursing mages. Just sit them in an empty hex outside Osgiliath and curse any Northern Gondor army commanders trying to make their way through the pass. Sorry did I say through the pass, I meant to the pass. I think the Fire King has a spot of redevelopment in mind. Pity you cannot rename pop centres without trashing them first. Minas Ithil really should be Minas Morgul.

Khamul, some nice work in Mirkwood. If NG hadn’t come to our aid at Tir Limlight (or you had actually revealed Imladris), things might be very different. Saying that, if I’d actually managed to get an army to Goblin Gate as intended on turn 2 you might have found things a lot tougher.

But moving your starting army to Sarn Gorwing via the Sinda town - I’ll have to remember that one. Tough to counter that. Be careful with your (soon to be) last army though…

The WK seems to be having a tougher time. Rhudaur’s come to his aid just in time.

I think the game is set to get more interesting yet, and I’ll be getting my revenge for Waulfa soon.

Paul
Woodmen

It’s “normal” for the Rhudaur to go dark, but the Witch-king is under no real pressure. If the Arthedain hadn’t turned he’d be more worried. It means they are gathering their forces off map, ready for 5000+ troops to land on Carn Dumm. As it is he’l lose a couple of villages maybe even a town, no great shakes.
btw although my id is Khamul I am not playing the Dragon Lord, that is someone else’s opening move.

If the Witch King ever does need some extra pop centres there seem to be plenty available in the Eoplex. Oh, and they seem to give us plenty of money to support the Dk Lts starting troops as well. That’s handy.

Move to the Eoplex?

I know there are plenty of empty propeties out that way but I am very happy in Angmar thankyou.

The only problem being this plague of annoying farmhands that seems to have wandered my way. Will somebody round them up and send them home before they hurt themselves.
The last thing I want is to see them made into Carthedain stew, it repeats on you for weeks.

Murazor, always concerned about his neighbours.

Paul-Woodmen

It is nice to have ones work noticed, thanks. If only I had not run into that NG cav army!!! I will continue to do my best to hinder your efforts to knock me from Mirkwood. Thanks for Leaving GG alone. I will try my best to keep it now that you all but left it to me as a gift.

Scott W
ME78 DrL

I’d rather you had Goblin Gate and we had Dol Guldur by the end of turn 5 than the other way round. Of course, with kinder fate we would have had both…

I still think we’ll knock you out of Mirkwood soon enough. Although we may only knock you as far as Esgaroth, rather than back to Mordor as we would like.
