ME 95 up and running

Hello Ji,

Thanks for understanding our position. I mean, if you don’t come to collect the rent, then why should I pay. You have alowed us to get lax in our responsibilities. Now here we are a few hundred years later and you want us to pay up. Well… we might have something to say about that. I think the land is ours now. We kept it up, settled it, made it prosper and you haven’t made any financial or physical contributions to these improvements. So I think we have a good argument againt paying the rent. And we believe we have a claim!

Also, about those little ring trinkets…sorry we never received any one of those here in Cardolan nor did our forefathers in Eriador and/or Numenor.

But just in case our argument does not hold water with you we are going to double our expenditures on security. Not to offend you or make you angry, but…just in case. I mean, C’mon Ji, you guys have a bad reputation around thes parts!

Cardolan

Ji,
i wish to hand you a bill for having fixed the place up. The roof leaked the plumbing sucked and the place was practically falling down around our ears. We called and left messages but like the slack landlord you are you failed to do anything about it. We had to call in tradesmen to fix the problems and have paid for it ourselves. I think you will find that you owe us, plus interest. We will be comming to collect so you had better start saving.

Eriadoran Dead-beats,

The rent is always due. Just because we didn’t show up, doesn’t mean you get to slip. We also going to collect interest, so make sure to pay my leg-breake…, umm excuse me, “collection agents” what you owe.

That’s too bad about your expenses to keep things up, that breaks my heart. I forgot I’m dead, I don’t have one! No excuses!
I don’t want to hear any whining about “we didn’t accept any Rings”. Blah, blah, blah! Your ancestors, the Numenoreans accepted Rings from the Dark Lord, three to be exact. Now the debt falls on you, the sins of the father passed on to his children.

I don’t want to have to get rough with ya, don’t make me the Bad Guy!

Um, actually Ji regulation 614.93(a) from Middle Earth Statutes (1592) 2nd ed. states “There is a 50 year statute of limitations for actions to collect unpaid rent.” Don’t you remember that incident in 1247 with Mr. Vatterman? Turned out he had title to Barad Dur and was trying to squeeze the Dark Lord for unpaid moneys, so we pushed through the regulation?

Nick,

That isn’t a dwarf down there …is it???

Regarding Said Rings of Power and the lands they purchased: (see previous claims put forth by one Ji Indur)

The rings of power were in the most part forged by one Celebrimdor in ELVEN forges some 1600 years ago. The theft of said rings by Sauron (aka Annatar, Gorthaur, Dark Lord, etc…) is well documented. The direct descendents of Celebrimdor (i.e., the Noldo Elves) are the rightful owners of the rings.

On behalf of Celebrimdor’s estate, and seeing that said rings are no longer available for reclamation, we, the Noldo Elves, claim the lands that said rings were used to purchase. We file our claim as direct descendants of creator of the rings and on behalf of all Free Peoples of Middle Earth.

After all, the only thing deadlier than the Assassins of Kal Nargil is a good beauracracy…
