Let me see if I get this straight.

++++++++++++++++

We all take off work Friday and fly to Minnesota.

***
Or fly from UK!

We then play for 6-8 hours Friday evening/night,

***
Yep.

break for 6 hours of sleep,

***
Whats that? Surely there is a party to be had?, game of poker, talk to your
new found enemies/friends?

play for 16 hours on Saturday,

***
Sounds good.........

another 6 hours of sleep,

***
Erm no, Another party?.....much better idea........

then another 6-8 hours of playing on Sunday

***More if we can............

We'll be done by early afternoon Sunday so that we can fly back home

***
to the UK.......perhaps catch up on some sleep, (I can dream).........

to be back to work on Monday.

***
Sounds good.................
+++++++++++++++

Is that right?

***
In time honoured tradition the word 'probably' springs to mind.........

I seem to recall that the goal would be an hour per turn (a half-hour to get
in orders, then half an hour to get back results). So, we're looking at 30
turns? At $5 each, that is $150 a person.

***
Realistically I think this is a little high, having attended the last two
events, we got in 14 & 15 turns respectively...........
Better organised now, so 20-25 is more realistic............(IMHO)

If they get two games (with GM's taking some positions), then it is about 45
players splitting the cost of 2 airplane tickets from England at what, $1000
each = $50 a player?

***
$1000....ouch, better start saving now.......

What are we looking at for play area? Conference rooms at several hundred
dollars a day,

***
Reading between the lines, I thought 'someone' was jacking this up on the
'mega cheap' like free???

for 3 days, times 2-3 rooms, could easily match the cost of
those plane tickets.

***
You worry too much........its only money...........

So, what are we looking at? $250 plus travel and hotel and food? Am I way
Under/Over?

***
My drinks tab will be at least that! ( just for the flight that
is..............)

If it is Minnesota, I can fly for about $300 from Colorado.

***
Lucky you!

Another $50 to double or triple up in a hotel room for 2 nights.

***
Floors are cheaper, washing lines cheaper still, I 'can cat nap' on
either......
However, if it was 2's up or more with females.........doh, I'm
digressing.........

$20 a day for Pizza

***
Acceptable........

and Pepsi?

***
You are joking right?
Or is this 'pepsi' thing an anagram of C2H5OH....................

Or, I could take half my annual vacation allotment to drive the 18 hours
each way, to only spend $100-200 on gas? Yeah, that would work? NOT!

***
We seem to have a problem with this money thing............

Do I even dare mention to my wife I'm thinking about spending $600-700 for a
weekend of fun?!?!

***
Probably! ( theres that word again)
You might find she develops a knack of 'midnight baking fever'.......
I occasionally experience it when arriving home in the early hours to be
greeted by a ranting banshee, armed with a rolling pin!............Funny
thing though, it always 'goes black' then......
(the gorilla still steals all my money, and leaves me with the obligatory
monster headache .........)

Would the door locks be changed when I tried to get back
into the house Sunday night?

***
Again Probably!

The bottom line is.............
If you can't afford it, don't go!
I 'probably' can't afford it, but will still go..............
It will 'probably' be the best weekend of your life, dare I say, 'since your
'honeymoon''
You will find out so much, put alot of rumours to bed, learn from the
masters............

And if you are in my 'TEAM' be a winner!

Unless this is the chemical formula for Coke, you're all a lousy bunch of
un-American ... er, never mind.

Please do note that I live in Atlanta. Any use of "the 'P' word" in any form,
associated with myself, could send me to prison. Avoidance of said term would be
appreciated.

Indeed. Just remember to take the nice little pills they give you, and it'll be
great fun to have you join us.
