Okay the w/end went well - exhausted and bereft of any braincells but very
happy with the way it went.
Chatting to players, specifically Andy, and there were some good ideas about
objectives to achieve for a quick game with lots of cut-throat action. I am
intersted in discussing that more - but on the list might be a good place
for that rather than privately.
Some players mentioned they wanted a laminated map - send me a note if you
are interested in this - not sure of the cost the more players we get the
cheaper it will be.
Next one - should we do another and if so when? 3 months and Christmas time
are the ideas that we have had put forward. My suggestion here is that you
get back to me informing me when you would be up for playing in this, (or
maybe you aren't that's fine as I appreciate that the game is not for
everyone). Personally doubt that 3 months is enough time but heh I'm game.
Turn costs 1.00 off as normal.
One idea put forward for teams was to have a pool of players with randomly
allocated teams. Not sure if you would enjoy this as much, as people like
playing with friends, but if that's what you want I can do it. The way the
randomly allocated bit would work would be I would rate the players in
experience rating. (Probably best if you would send me a list of players
that you are happy to play with or not happy to play with.)
Then they would go in a hat - with all the level 3 (most
experienced/quality) split equally amongst the teams, level 2 equally and
level 1 (least experienced). Feedback welcome. (Note there are a lot of
potential clashes here. This time I was able to put players together as
they requested. I think that not giving out the teams and nations was a
good thing but it does need a strong leader to organise it otherwise. What
do YOU think though? as this is a major consideration.) Should I send out a
list of who the players are - I think that would be okay but it would mean
that team tactics etc might well be organised before you turned up...
Okay I think I have covered everything...
That only leaves me to thankyou for playing, and making it such a cool way
to spend a w/end for everyone.
