No information transfer is allowed or allowed to be attempted in Gunboat.
So transferring 23 gold (attack 23) or say 3221 gold and say 6 gold
(indicating attack 3221 on turn 6) is allowed. The ATTEMPT to transfer
information in this way is what is against the spirit and rules of the
Gunboat game, successful or not.
Hence the rule about naming characters, or arranging your armies into a
number 1 on the hexes for attack player 1 - although a facetious situation
it's something I've been asked - is not allowed.
You can still move armies in such a way that your intent is to attack a
certain player. Or even arrive on an allied town with 2000 HC - implication
you're going to attack within 14 hexes of that location. (Like the game of
Bridge there are certain rules about such things if in doubt ASK! don't do).

Looks like a nice, clean program. I'm not ready to give up the "bells and
whistles" of AM, though. The economy calculator alone saves me 10 - 20
minutes per turn, sometimes more depending on the nation. Great stuff.

Yep, I'd like to add that, along with a few other things. Any and all suggestions are welcome.
I couldn't use Automagic because I didn't have access to Excel. But I just tested out MeOW, and I have to say, I'm impressed! I just hope it works well when I try to actually use it to send in orders.
