Not seen the ridde before, but it brings Mithrim to mind.
That was the area in Beleriand, that was bordered on East and South by Ered Wethrin, to the West by the spur of the mountains of Mithrim, and to the North by Lake Mithrim.
This was a part of Hithlum, which was a Northern border, after the siege of Angband was ended by the Dagot Bragollach.
I know of no named peakes in Mithrim.
