ME Second edition ideas

Yes it is difficult for an army to deal with enemy agents, but how many agents would stick around if a division of Marines was conducting house-to-house search and destroy missions?

I think that the problem with agents in MEPBM, is that in

most cases, there

is no effective defense against them. There is nothing that

a military

nation can do to stop the agents from emptying his

treasury, killing all his

characters, poofing his armies.

It's difficult enough in the real world for a country like the US
to know where foreign agents are, even with all their technology
and manpower, so how do you expect Middle Earth nations to cope?

After all, just look at the difficulties the US is having with
Al Qaida and their ilk...
