ME83 Turn 4

Interesting…

Mirkwood
It’s ashame the Dwarves reached 2715 alone…not enough force alone…guess the Dragon Lord last one more turn…as he’s obviously out of tricks and blocking banners for the Sinda, NG, Woodmen, Northmen…hey…you guys really don’t like him do you?

Say…Dwarven Lord…how much to get Thelor to bounce off the Keep? We’ll transfer it too you honest we will. I’m sure the Dragon Lord will pay for that. Too bad we only have two cursers in the area…right Bain? Bain?

Thank the dark lord the Blind Sorcerer and Long Rider stopped the Eothraim end around…I"m certain meant to end 3822 and the Dragon Lord.

Rhudaur
Say…was 1910 built over a historic landmark or something? There seems to be a whole lot of Cardi’s there!

Atleast he get’s to hold a few towns for a bit longer.

And what’s up with 2004 resisting threaten a turn ago…talk about annoying?

Harondor
Things are about to get awefully bloody at the Harad cap. Are the Sairs and SG willing to pay the new price of admission?

Osgiliath
Oh look…big armies destroying each other at 3024…what a shock!

Eoplex
Did anyone notice that the Dog Lord’s annoying…I mean burning the MT then throwing a camp on the tower…that’s just a strike to annoy.

Sea of Rhun
The BS had a nice turn…and 4017 is having an issue…but strangely enough the LR navy didn’t show. Hmm…what are the odds it ran into a navy it can handle…hmmm…

Thringwathost
I say…someone’s knocking at Morannon. ‘Who is it’, ‘Landshark’…‘who’…‘umm avon’

Well atleast my knives claimed a couple more lives this turn. No one good though.

PS - I think I’m talking to myself

Looks like there will be a few big battles this turn… I wonder who will come out on top.

There’ll be lots of combat calcs going on between now and the next turn trying to tweek that last bit of damage… but not in Cardolan. We just fetch for the next batch of recruits and tell them there’s a wet T-shirt competition all over Rhudaur

Cheers

Michael
Cardolan

One reason we were happy to see the army block of NG south of 2715…you gentlemen, to date, have had an annoying habit of showing up with just enough force to take things. You are good with those battle calculators.

CL Steve

We do have our share of combat calculators… even some we’ve written ourselves that don’t have the bugs in them

Just enough to take a pop centres… we’ve all been playing a while now so I’d be embarrased if we dign’t have a gut feel for what’s needed to take a place. I’d say the same goes for you guys.

We are trying not to do the same old opening gambits though. Its no fun doing the same thing game after game… sometimes it doesn’t matter about winning as long as there are big battles to be fought and surprises for everyone to enjoy… like my Dragon this turn on 1910 (but don’t tell your mates or you’ll spoil the surprise)

I forgot to talk about 2004. This place has the annoying (if you are DS) habbit of not surrendering to a Threat… haw haw haw… and to think the WiK turned up with a couple of armies… I bet his team email contained a few choice words

And fancy the DrL getting bored with Mirkwood and deciding to come and play in Rhudaur. And there I was telling my team-mates that that wassomething only we do… no-one else does that!! Shucks… if I’d only listened I could have put another 5000 troops there this turn… yeah right

Us…we’re boring players with no skills. Hardly worth while opponents. Heck, we generally have two or three important orders a turn blown because we can’t type. What can you do.

@1910 I don’t think you need anymore troops…you seem to have plenty as it is. It would be our general luck if your team managed a dragon before we did

CL Steve

PS - Say…what did the SG and Corsairs think about the Harad present for them at 2734?

Not sure if I should say this… you’re not going to like my reply… not sure if the team will like me saying this either… they are overjoyed… it’s exactly what we wanted to happen…

as for Dragons, didn’t your captain tell you… we agreed to no dragons for this game… and just to be fair, the ents and eagles won’t be recruitable either.

You might want to tell the QAv to get back home. Tell him to stop being impatient… we’ll deal with him later.

Just because he’s feeling left out is no reason to go maneouvering in the desert. He’s even gone and got his movements all wrong, since word is he’s bumped into one of our pop centres.

Does he have no sense of decency.

Personally, I wish you guys would stop srewing around and conquer South Harad. I’m tired of watching the Harad player blow remove port and harbor orders

CL Steve

It worked so well for the Dog Lord @ 3112 I think the QA go jealous…hmmm…someone shoud’ve mentioned the difference between a fort and a tower…

CL Steve

Aaah… the dreaded RmvHar and RmvPort orders.

Har has to try, even though the commanders are crap. Damned if you don’t… damned when you fail…

Still there is an upside - it does give us more targets to choose.

And the pesky DoL chappy. Destroying a perfectly good pop centre just because they wouldn’t serve him his favourite jam sandwich. We’ll be after restitution for the pain and suffering he inflicted.

Michael
Car

Hey, just because I am out of the country does not give this group the right to jump me. The MIGHTY QA knows no bounds and wants in this fight too (except for the annoying Argirion thing in my backyard).

My question is this… Where is Adunaphel? I have two shells under which she could be hiding. Under which one would she be? Could she actually take Celedhring? Angamaite seems more certain. Maybe we shall see…

I want to play now. Besides, at least I kill one banner this turn, instead of just dying at Vamag. It seems like the Corsairs has a lot of troops.

QA

Aaah, a Nazgul that wants to help us…

Go ahead and see if you can take Celedhring. I’m sure we could offer you a safe haven if you fear reprisals… after all, most of the world is DS free, and the rest will follow soon enough.

As for Corsairs, his commanders are so charismatic, he can’t stop the recruits flooding in.

On a more interesting note…

Who let the Dogs out? (don’t you just hate that song?)

That pesky Dog Lord cavalry seems to be roaming around Rhovanion burning…looting…and generally having evil guy fun!

CL Steve

Lets not talk about the Dogs… they will be dealt with at the proper time… there are more important things to talk about here…

like the beginning of the end for Rhu and DrL… and the waiting will soon be over for the WiK too.

Get back to mordor where you all belong and wait for us to call for you…

Sc0rp10

The beginning of the end for the Dragon Lord! It looks a bit further along than that in and around Mirkwood

Let’s face it. We’ve got two turns in Mirkwood. The Dwarves don’t need much support at 2715 and you have several places from which to draw that support…and the Dragon Lord seems to be out of armies…I don’t think turn 6 will be pretty at 2715.

Now…getting him out of Mordor…for ‘the end’. That’s another issue.

CL Steve

PS - So…the schedule with the Dog Lord…that’s after the Eothraim lose two MT/Ts right?
